  • 0.5 tsp. soda

Take a large bowl. Break 3 eggs + a glass of sugar. Beat thoroughly with a mixer at high speed for 1-2 minutes.

Add 100 grams of sour cream.

Mix flour with soda and sift together.

Chop the apples as desired and add them to the dough. I also sprinkled it with cinnamon; I love the combination of cinnamon and apples. But if you don't like cinnamon, you don't have to add it.

Mix everything well so that our apple pieces are distributed throughout the dough. Place in a mold and place in the oven at 170 degrees.

We wait about 20 minutes. Check the readiness with a match or toothpick. We pierce the pie in several places; if the match comes out dry, then our apple pie is ready.

  4. While the pie is in the oven, make the filling. Mix the remaining sugar (70 g), the egg and pour in the melted butter. Whisk.
  5. Remove the pie from the oven, pour over the filling and bake for another 10 minutes. Cool for 2-3 hours before serving.

Preparation:

  1. Wash the apples, core them and chop finely. Pour 4-5 tablespoons of water into the bottom of a thick-walled pan (not enameled) and place the apples. Simmer covered until softened, 15-20 minutes.

  1. The first step is to preheat the oven. To do this, turn it on 180°.

  4. Sprinkle 1 tbsp. a spoonful of sugar and mix it with cinnamon.

  7. Cut the margarine into pieces, transfer to a small metal bowl and melt over low heat. I always use good creamy margarine for baking, but it can be replaced with butter or vegetable oil.

  8. Break the eggs into a deep bowl or mixer bowl, cover them with sugar and add a pinch of salt. I always add it to baked goods, it enhances the flavor and brings out the sweetness of the dough.

  9. Stir and beat at medium speed with a mixer or a regular whisk.
  10. Pour in the cooled margarine and stir until smooth.

  11. Pour baking powder into the flour, mix and sift.

  12. Add the dry mixture to the egg mixture in portions and, breaking up all the lumps, gradually knead the dough. If you use a mixer or blender, do it at low speed so as not to tighten the dough. This can make it rubbery and cause it to rise and bake poorly. As soon as all the flour has entered, stop stirring.
  13. Place the grated part of the apples into the dough. And distribute evenly, stirring with a spoon or spatula.

  14. Grease a suitable pie pan (I have a rectangular 20x30) and lightly sprinkle with semolina. You can use flour or breadcrumbs for this.
