Delicious waffles can be prepared not only with butter.

Waffles made with milk or kefir work great in an electric waffle iron!

Their recipe is much simpler, cheaper and more dietary than the classic one, which contains 5 eggs and a stick of butter. But waffles made with milk turn out just as tasty, crunchy, and you can use them to make waffle rolls with different fillings!

Ingredients for waffles with milk:

For 15 pieces:

  • 2 eggs;
  • 100 g sugar (half a glass);
  • A pinch of salt;
  • 1 glass of milk;
  • 1.5-2 cups of flour (so that the dough is as thick as 15% sour cream);
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil (unflavored).

Recipe for crispy waffles with milk:

Beat eggs with sugar with a mixer.

Pour in a glass of milk and stir.


Add flour, mix again so that there are no lumps.


Add sunflower oil and stir again so that the waffles do not stick to the waffle iron while baking.


We also thoroughly grease the surfaces of the waffle iron with vegetable oil.

Warm up the waffle iron for 5 minutes and you’re ready to start! Pour 2 tablespoons of batter in the center, close the waffle iron and press. Use an oven mitt - at this stage the waffle iron releases hot steam!

Bake the waffle for 2-3 minutes. A light waffle is soft, like a pancake, and if fried until red or dark brown, it will be crispy!


Lightly pry the waffle with a knife, remove it and transfer it to a plate. If you want a waffle roll, roll the waffle right away before it hardens, but they are delicious to eat just like shortcakes.


Crispy milk waffles can be coated with condensed milk or custard, or filled with tubes. Or just crunch with tea!

Milk can be replaced with kefir or mixed with it - depending on what dairy product you have in the refrigerator.

And if you replace wheat flour with whole grain flour or combine it with it, you will get delicious

1. SWEET WAFFLES.

Ingredients:

✓ eggs – 5 pcs.

Mix egg yolk, salt and soda well.

Add half a glass of water, add all the flour and mix thoroughly, gradually adding the rest of the water.

To get sweet waffles, add 2 tablespoons of sugar.

5. SHORT WAFFLES

✓ Flour - 2 cups

✓ Sugar - 1/2 cup

✓ Egg - 1 pc.

✓ Butter - 30 g.

7. WAFERS WITH MILK

✓ 0.5 l milk

✓ 1/2 pack of margarine

✓ 250 g sugar (I take less - about 200 g)

✓ vanillin

Preparation

Melt the margarine. Add egg, sugar, vanillin, mix with a mixer.

If the dough becomes liquid, add more flour and dilute it with milk.

And so on until approximately 0.5 liters of milk are used up.

The dough should turn out like thick sour cream (but not rustic sour cream, where a spoon rests).

8. WAFFLES WITH CONDENSED MILK

✓ margarine 200 g;

✓ condensed milk 1 can;

✓ eggs 2 pcs;

✓ starch 1 cup;

✓ flour 1 cup;

✓ soda (1/3 tsp), slaked with vinegar.

Preparation

Knead the margarine, mix all the ingredients, the dough should not be liquid.

Place a little dough on the base of the waffle iron, making sure that the waffles do not burn.

Before the first waffle, you need to grease the waffle iron (both surfaces), then no oil is needed.

To ensure that the waffles are the same color, I follow the clock with the second hand.

As soon as the waffle is ready, I roll it into a tube.

I tried different recipes, but I didn’t like everything; if you don’t eat it at once, the waffles become soft, but these ones remain crispy for a long time.

9. WAFFLES WITH SOUR CREAM

✓ Eggs - 5 pcs.

✓ Sugar - 5 tbsp. l

✓ Butter - 1 tbsp. l

✓ Sour cream - 1/2 cup

✓ Flour - 1 cup

Preparation

Separate the whites from the yolks and place in the refrigerator.

Grind the yolks with sugar until white, add melted butter (not hot), sour cream; mix, add flour and stir well until smooth.

Add the chilled egg whites, whipped into a thick foam, into this mixture and carefully mix from top to bottom.

10. CREAM WAFERS

✓ butter - 125 g

✓ sugar - 3-4 tbsp. spoons

✓ flour - 1/2 cup

✓ eggs - 4 pcs

✓ cream - 4 tbsp. spoons

✓ water - 1 glass

✓ vanilla sugar - to taste

Cooking method

Mix softened butter with sugar and vanilla sugar.

Divide the eggs into whites and yolks.

Beat the egg yolks with salt into a homogeneous mass and transfer to softened butter and sugar.

Beat the resulting mass with a mixer until foam forms.

Mix the sifted flour with baking soda and a small amount of water. Then transfer to the egg-butter mixture and mix everything thoroughly.

Then pour in the remaining water, cream and stir until smooth.

Beat the chilled egg whites into a fluffy foam, carefully fold them into the dough and mix gently with a wooden spatula.

Fry waffles in a preheated electric waffle iron for 2-5 minutes.

11. WAFFLES “MAMINA”

✓ 2 cups (250 g) flour

✓ 1 tsp. baking powder

✓ 2 tbsp. l. Sahara

✓ 1 tsp. salt

✓ 2 glasses of milk

✓ 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil

Cooking method

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.

Add milk, eggs and vegetable oil, mix thoroughly.

Lightly grease the waffle iron or spray with oil spray.

Pour the desired amount of batter onto the hot waffle iron.

Bake until the waffles are golden brown.

12. WAFFLES “ROYAL”

✓ 200 g butter

✓ 75 g sugar (1/3 cup)

✓ 1 packet of vanilla sugar

✓ 300 g flour (2 cups)

✓ 200 ml cream

Cooking method

Beat softened butter, sugar, vanilla powder until fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time, continuing to beat.

Mix flour and baking powder. Add to the egg-butter mixture alternately with cream, in small portions.

At the end, add a little sparkling mineral water to make a dough with the consistency of thick sour cream, a little thicker than for pancakes.

13. WAFFLES WITH YOGURT

✓ 1.5 cups (375 g) vanilla or fruit yogurt

✓ 1.25 cups (150 g) flour

✓ 2 tsp. baking powder

✓ 1 tsp. soda

✓ 1/2 tsp. salt

Cooking method

15. WAFFLES FOR BREAKFAST

1. Mix flour with salt. Lightly beat the eggs with sugar. Add vanilla extract to the eggs.

17. LIEGE WAFFLES

✓ Flour - 400 g

✓ Egg - 2 pcs

✓ Milk - 140 ml

✓ Sugar (large) - 180 g

✓ Butter - 200 g

✓ Yeast (dry) - 1.5 tsp.

✓ Vanilla sugar - 1 packet.

✓ Salt - 0.2 tsp.

Preparation

Heat half the milk /in the microwave or on the stove/. Add the yeast, cover and leave to rise for 10 minutes.

Break 2 eggs into the remaining milk, add salt, beat everything well with a whisk.

In a deep bowl, mash the flour together with the butter. Add sugar, milk with yeast and milk with eggs, mix well with a wooden spoon or mixer at low speed until a sticky dough forms. Cover and leave to rise for 30 minutes.

On a well-floured work surface, divide the dough into 12 pieces.

Roll each part into a ball and roll in large pieces of sugar.

18. VIENNAIAN WAFFLES.

✓ Sugar (more if you want it sweeter) - 100 g

✓ Flour - 350 g

✓ Milk - 1 tbsp.

Mix cottage cheese with melted butter, add sugar and lemon zest. Gradually add flour and milk.

Separate the whites from the yolks and add the yolks to the dough.

Beat the whites into a very strong foam and carefully fold into the dough.

Bake waffles until golden brown.

20. CORN WAFFLES

✓ Corn flour - 150 g

✓ Chicken egg - 2 pcs

✓ Butter - 50 g

✓ Milk - 200 ml

✓ Liquid honey - 4 tbsp. l.

✓ Chopped almonds (a little)

✓ Rum (possibly without it) - 1 tsp.

Preparation

Made from corn flour, eggs, butter (melt), milk, baking powder.

Then, add honey and rum (if adding) to the dough and let it brew for 10-15 minutes.

Add almonds and mix.

Heat up the waffle iron (grease it if necessary) and pour in the dough.

Bake until golden yellow.

21. STARCH WAFFLES

Preparation

Melt the margarine, cool slightly, add sugar, powdered sugar, eggs, vanillin, flour.

The dough should be like sour cream. Place a tablespoon into the waffle iron and bake until desired color.

Roll immediately when hot, otherwise they will break.

25. RHINE WAFERS.

30. WAFFLES WITH CINNAMON.

200g sl. beat butter with salt, 1/4 tbsp. sugar, cinnamon, add 1 tbsp. flour, mix.

I continue to try recipes for thin waffles for my recently purchased electric waffle iron. The first sample was waffle rolls made from shortcrust pastry, crispy and melting in the mouth. Now I'm trying to bake waffles with milk. They are not so crispy, but also very tasty, and the calorie content is lower.

You will need:

  • 2 eggs,
  • 100 grams of sugar,
  • 240 ml milk,
  • 200 grams of flour,
  • 1 tablespoon refined sunflower oil,
  • 3 grams of vanillin (2 sachets) or any other flavoring,
  • a pinch of salt.

Recipe

  1. Let's prepare the waffle dough. Beat the eggs with a mixer with sugar and a pinch of salt.
  2. Add milk and mix again.
  3. Sift the flour, add vanillin and knead the dough.
  4. Now add a tablespoon of vegetable oil and mix. This is done so that the finished waffles can be removed well later. The dough for thin waffles with milk is ready. This time we have it thinner than it was in the recipe for crispy waffle rolls.
  5. Lubricate both halves of the electric waffle iron with vegetable oil. Turn it on and give it time to warm up. I heat it up for about 5 minutes.
  6. Pour 1-2 tablespoons of batter into the center of the waffle iron. Depends on what size and thickness we want to bake waffles. I baked small tubes, so I poured 1 tablespoon at a time.
  7. We press the other half of the waffle iron and wait. Attention! During this period, a large amount of steam is released, you can burn your hands.
  8. The baking time for waffles depends on the power of the electric waffle iron. My waffles brown fairly quickly.
  9. In order for milk waffles to be crispy, they need to be baked until quite dark in color. Light waffles will remain soft.
  10. When the waffle is browned, quickly remove it with a spatula and roll it into a tube.
  11. In addition to tubes from waffles, you can make horns, baskets, and leave them in the form of cakes without folding them.
  12. From the specified amount of ingredients you can get from 15 to 30 waffles, depending on their size and thickness.
  13. There were so many waffles!
  14. Ready-made wafer rolls, cones and baskets can be filled with your favorite cream or ice cream. The cakes can be greased with cream or condensed milk, you will get a very tasty cake.

The simplest and fastest recipe for the treat under discussion is based on margarine.

It is better to take a high-quality creamy product for baking (a standard pack). And, besides this: 220 g of flour, the same amount of sugar, 3 eggs and vanillin on the tip of a knife.

  1. Margarine (200 g) is cut into large pieces and melted in a water bath.
  2. Beat the eggs with granulated sugar until the latter is completely dissolved.
  3. Cooled margarine is added to the sweet egg mass and the products are mixed well.
  4. Flour and vanilla are added to the ingredients in small portions.
  5. A homogeneous dough is kneaded. It turns out smooth and pliable.

The dough can be baked into crispy waffles straight away.

The right recipe for Viennese waffles

You don't have to go abroad to try Viennese waffles. It is quite possible to prepare them at home yourself. To do this, you will need the simplest products: 3 eggs, 120 g of sugar, 250 ml of milk, a pack of high-fat butter, 330 g of flour, 1 tbsp. lemon juice and the same amount of baking powder.

  1. Softened butter is ground with sugar. You can do this with a mixer at minimum speed.
  2. Eggs are driven into the resulting thick, fluffy mass.
  3. The dough is whipped again at low speed of the device.
  4. Warm milk and lemon juice are added to the ingredients.
  5. After mixing, sifted flour with baking powder is poured into the dough. The mass is mixed with a spoon.
  6. The result should be a dough similar to kefir pancakes.

These waffles can be prepared either in a special waffle iron or in the oven in suitable molds.

Preparing the dough for a crispy treat

To make the dessert thin and crispy, you need to add potato starch to the dough. You will need 40 g of this product, as well as: 140 g of flour, 120 ml of milk, half a pack of margarine, 130 g of sugar. The detailed dough recipe is described below:

  1. Flour is sifted through a sieve along with starch.
  2. Lightly beat the eggs with sugar until the latter dissolves.
  3. Warm milk is poured into the sweet egg mass.
  4. The margarine is melted in the microwave, cooled slightly and added to the liquid mixture.
  5. With constant stirring, flour and starch are added to the dough. The mass should be semi-liquid.

Waffles made from this dough are perfect for wrapping boiled condensed milk in them.

Yeast for soft Liege waffles

This recipe makes thick waffles. They require a special device with deep cells or baking dishes in the oven. From the products you will need to use: 2 tbsp. sifted flour, 2 eggs, 1 tsp. dry yeast, a pinch of vanillin and salt, 170 g of sugar, a pack of butter, 170 ml of full-fat milk.

  1. Half the milk is heated, the yeast is dissolved in the warm liquid, and it is left for 20 minutes.
  2. The remaining milk is beaten with salt and eggs with a mixer.
  3. The softened butter is ground with flour.
  4. All three parts are combined together and mixed thoroughly.
  5. The end result should be a soft sticky dough. It is covered with a clean towel and left for about half an hour in a warm place.

The finished mass is divided into 12 parts, each of which is rolled in sugar before baking.

Dough for waffle rolls in an electric waffle iron

This is the simplest recipe with a minimum number of ingredients. To prepare the dessert you will need to use: 5 eggs, a standard pack of margarine, 1 tbsp. flour and sugar.

  1. Beat eggs with granulated sugar until snow-white.
  2. Next, whipping the mass continues with margarine.
  3. The process does not stop even after adding flour.
  4. The result will be a runny dough.

This waffle dough in a waffle iron is suitable for baking dessert in both electric and manual devices.

Hong Kong waffle batter

Hong Kong waffles also have a second name - “egg”. It got its name because of its special “bubble” structure. This dough can be stored in the cold for up to 2 days and delight your home with a fresh dessert. To prepare it you will need: 160 g of flour, 140 g of warm boiled water and baking powder, 280 ml of condensed milk and vegetable oil, 2 eggs, 7 g of baking powder, 1 tbsp. pudding powder, liquid vanilla concentrate.

  1. All dry ingredients are combined in a sieve and immediately sifted. These are: flour, baking powder and pudding powder.
  2. Beat eggs and sugar until the latter is completely dissolved. Warm liquids are poured into the resulting mixture: milk and water.
  3. The liquid and dry parts are combined and kneaded until smooth.
  4. At the end, 3 drops of vanilla concentrate are added to the mixture.
  5. All that remains is to pour oil into the future dough and leave it in the cold for 60 minutes.

During the specified time, gluten will swell in the mass. It is not recommended to use the dough for baking treats right away.

For dessert in Belgian style

This delicate delicacy is now known and loved all over the world. To make it really soft and tasty, you need to properly prepare the dough for such waffles. From the products you will need to take: 110 g each of granulated sugar and butter, 2 eggs, 130 g of flour, a large pinch of salt and baking powder.

  1. The melted butter is ground with sugar and salt until smooth.
  2. Mix the eggs into the mixture one at a time with your hands, add baking powder, after which it is thoroughly beaten with a blender.

Anyone can make chocolate waffles using a special French recipe. For the dough you will need to use: 4 tbsp. high-quality cocoa powder, 7 tbsp. milk, 130 g butter, 110 g sugar, 2 large chicken eggs, 130 g flour, vanillin on the tip of a knife, a pinch of salt.

  1. Melted butter is mixed with cocoa.
  2. The eggs are separated into their components, after which the yolks along with sugar are added to the dough.
  3. Flour is sifted into the mixture and lukewarm milk is poured.
  4. Whip the whites with a pinch of salt until thick white foam. They are added to the dough very carefully using a wide spatula.

Thick soft waffles are baked from the resulting mass.

For thin waffles

Waffles prepared according to this recipe can also become the basis for a cake. For them you will need to use the following products: 230 ml low-fat cream, 2 tbsp. flour, 160 g butter, 1 tbsp. sugar, 4 eggs.

  1. The butter is melted in the microwave and cooled.
  2. The eggs are beaten with sugar. While the mixer or blender is running, cream and butter are gradually added. All components must be mixed thoroughly.
  3. The mass will be homogeneous and liquid.

I continue to try recipes for thin waffles for my recently purchased electric waffle iron. The first sample was made from shortcrust pastry, crispy and melting in the mouth. Now I'm trying to bake waffles with milk. They are not so crispy, but also very tasty, and the calorie content is lower.

To prepare thin waffles with milk we will need:

  • 2 eggs,
  • 100 grams of sugar,
  • 240 ml milk,
  • 200 grams of flour,
  • 1 tablespoon refined sunflower oil,
  • 3 grams of vanillin (2 sachets) or any other flavoring,
  • a pinch of salt.
  • Recipe for making thin waffles with milk in an electric waffle iron.

    Let's prepare the waffle dough. Beat the eggs with a mixer with sugar and a pinch of salt.

    Add milk and mix again.

    Sift the flour, add vanillin and knead the dough.

    Now add a tablespoon of vegetable oil and mix. This is done so that the finished waffles can be removed well later. The dough for thin waffles with milk is ready. This time it is thinner than in the recipe.

    Lubricate both halves of the electric waffle iron with vegetable oil. Turn it on and give it time to warm up. I heat it up for about 5 minutes.

    Pour 1-2 tablespoons of batter into the center of the waffle iron. Depends on what size and thickness we want to bake waffles. I baked small tubes, so I poured 1 tablespoon at a time.

    We press the other half of the waffle iron and wait. Attention! During this period, a large amount of steam is released, you can burn your hands.

    The baking time for waffles depends on the power of the electric waffle iron. My waffles brown fairly quickly.

    In order for milk waffles to be crispy, they need to be baked until quite dark in color. Light waffles will remain soft.

    When the waffle is browned, quickly remove it with a spatula and roll it into a tube.

    In addition to tubes from waffles, you can make horns, baskets, and leave them in the form of cakes without folding them.

    From the specified amount of ingredients you can get from 15 to 30 waffles, depending on their size and thickness.

    Ready-made wafer rolls, cones and baskets can be filled with your favorite cream or ice cream. The cakes can be greased with cream or condensed milk, you will get a very tasty cake.
