Kefir cupcake is a sweet and tasty dish that will certainly become a favorite among your family’s favorite desserts. What’s interesting: many housewives consider making a cupcake a complicated process and rarely indulge their family with this type of homemade baking. However, baking it is much easier than, for example, making shortbread or sponge cake. They say that the first cake recipe belongs to the inhabitants of ancient Rome, who added pomegranate, dried fruits and nuts to boiled barley and then baked it. Over time, the extraordinary dish gained popularity throughout Europe. Muffins, Russian Easter, German adit and English cupcake are all types of cupcakes. In many countries, cupcake is a traditional dish, an obligatory attribute of the New Year and Christmas table. Homemade cupcakes are usually given as gifts to the hosts you come to visit. As a rule, they are baked from yeast or biscuit dough with a variety of fruit additives, candied fruits, raisins, and jam.

General cooking rules

Most often you can find recipes for sweet cupcakes that contain dried fruits, chocolate, jam or condensed milk. But you can bake unsweetened ones, salty or spiced muffins– they can easily replace a snack or a full breakfast. These muffins are topped with feta cheese or cheese, fresh or frozen herbs, bacon, sausage, boiled chicken and much more. The scope for imagination is unlimited, but you should remember that if you overdo it with additives, the dough may not rise well.

The cupcake can be baked in the form of cute figures using special small molds, made into a pie, or given the classic cupcake shape - a round cake with a recess in the center. It is believed that the most convenient forms are silicone, they are easy to clean, baked goods do not stick to the walls and are easy to remove. But if you don’t have them, you can use metal molds after putting paper ones in them. By the way, paper molds are convenient because you can eat the muffins without touching them with your hands, for example, while traveling.

Baked sweet cupcakes will look festive if you cover them with fondant or icing. A great option for savory muffins is to sprinkle with grated cheese at the end of baking so that the cheese melts slightly.
