We eat curd cheeses with unsweetened fillings - with the same dill, pickled cucumbers, mushrooms - and nothing, we are not indignant 😆. So I recommend trying unsweetened cottage cheese casserole as a light, nutritious breakfast or dinner.

Zucchini is a vegetable that seems specially created for making casseroles. No matter what recipe you bake them with, they will still turn out delicious. Zucchini casserole with chicken liver is a fairly light, but at the same time nutritious dish that can replace an entire lunch.

It is prepared almost according to the same principle as the “textbook” casserole of zucchini with minced meat. The only difference is that instead of minced meat, chicken liver is used - a product that is more affordable in price and more respected by nutritionists. The chicken liver must first be boiled or fried in vegetable oil with the addition of spices. And then, when it has cooled down, it can be used as an ingredient for a casserole.


How to cook zucchini casserole with chicken liver - step-by-step recipe with photos

Products:

Preparation. Peeled onions are cut into thin half rings. You can cut it into smaller pieces - it’s a matter of your taste.

The washed tomatoes are also cut into fairly large pieces. There is no need to peel the fruit.

The zucchini is cleaned and grated on a coarse grater. You can salt them at the same stage: if they release too much liquid, it is better to squeeze it out. A raw chicken egg is introduced into the zucchini and mixed - it plays the role of a “fixer” in the casserole.

The grater will also have to be mixed with cheese: it will be used to sprinkle the surface of the casserole, and this is the best way to chop it.

And the pre-fried chicken liver is cut into small pieces - maybe in the form of cubes.

The bottom of the mold or round frying pan without a handle in which the dish will be prepared is greased with butter or margarine, and zucchini is placed on top in an even layer.

The liver is also salted and peppered, if this was not done at the frying stage, mixed with sour cream, placed on top of the tomatoes and sprinkled with thinly sliced ​​onions.

The final touch (or chord) in this culinary composition is a layer of grated cheese.

So let's get started with the recipe. We will need chicken liver, medium zucchini, onions, carrots, fresh garlic and red hot pepper as desired.


Step 1: Preparing and cutting food.
