Reading time: 4 minutes

Often, store-bought bubbles do not blow well and corrode the baby’s eyes and skin. The vast majority of factory-made solutions lack markings and composition of the mixture. It is possible that manufacturers use low-quality and even harmful components. All recipes for soap solutions that we offer you are harmless to the child’s skin and do not cause allergies or inflammation.

Making soap bubbles at home is quite a feasible task. Homemade soap bubbles are sometimes not only no worse than factory ones, but even surpass them in quality.

How to make soap bubbles - revealing the main secret

The main condition for preparing a good solution is the use of high-quality water. If it is too hard, the solution will be of poor quality: the bubbles will be small or they will not be blown out at all. We advise you to take drinking still or filtered water. Good solutions are obtained using boiled or melt water. By using good water, you greatly increase your chances of success!

Classic solution of soap bubbles

It was this recipe for soap bubbles that was used according to GOST to prepare a solution during our childhood.

Ingredients:

  • Purified water – 100 grams
  • Laundry or glycerin soap (unscented) – 10 grams.
  • Pure glycerin – 20-30 grams.

Cooking method:

Chop or grate the soap. The soap should completely dissolve. Scented soaps cannot be used; you need laundry soap or pure glycerin without additives.

Strain the solution through cheesecloth.

Add glycerin to the mixture. First you need to add 20 grams and try to blow out the bubbles, and if they don’t work out, add another 20 - 35 grams of glycerin to the mixture. Glycerin is needed in its pure form - cream cannot be used. It’s hard to do without glycerin - the bubbles will turn out “dry”, which will make them burst faster.

Bubble Recipe #2 Using Dishwashing Soap

The mixture prepared according to this recipe is suitable for blowing huge and giant bubbles.

Ingredients

  • Purified water – 100 grams
  • Dishwashing liquid – 30 grams
  • Glycerin – 30 grams

Cooking method:

For this recipe you will need a good detergent, preferably from the premium segment, such as Fairy, Biolan, etc. The water must also be of high quality, preferably purified. Blowing bubbles made from low-quality components is not easy - they burst quickly and turn out small. If prepared purified water is not available, pre-boiled water can be used. It needs to be cooled and strained without draining the sediment from the bottom.

After the liquid becomes homogeneous, glycerin should be gradually added to it. To begin with, no more than half of the maximum amount is added.

Now try blowing soap bubbles. If they blow out poorly and burst quickly, gradually add more glycerin.

Depending on the composition of the water, the proportions of the solution may vary.

  • Washing powder – 15 grams

Cooking method:

Mix all components thoroughly in a special container until completely dissolved.

After complete cooling, the liquid should infuse for 72 hours in a cool place.

Bubbles recipe #4

Ingredients:

  • Purified water – 100 grams
  • Shampoo or shower gel – 100 grams
  • Sugar – 10 grams (1 teaspoon)

Cooking method:

Mix detergent and water. Instead of detergent, you can use laundry soap. The soap is grated and dissolved in warm water.

Once the water and detergent are mixed evenly, place the mixture in the refrigerator for exactly 1 week.

After this period, sugar is added to the mixture. After the sugar has dissolved, the soap bubble solution is ready for use.

Bubbles recipe #5

This is the easiest and fastest recipe for making a mixture for soap balls. You can make them almost instantly.

Ingredients

  • Purified water – 100 grams

How to blow soap bubbles

The size and quality of the bubbles being blown depends on the tool with which the soap balls are blown. Let's consider several options for blowing tools:

The factory blower stick is easy to use.

A wire twisted into a loop will perfectly replace a factory-made product.

Excellent bubbles are obtained using an ordinary cocktail straw. To obtain better quality balls, it is better to cut the end of the straw in four planes.

If you don’t have anything at hand, you can launch the balls using your thumb and forefinger, folded into a ring.

To blow giant bubbles, you need to use a loop device, which consists of two sticks connected to each other by two ropes that form a loop. The ropes need to be dipped in the solution, and then the sticks are spread apart and made movements in a vertical or horizontal plane.

Adding a special touch to a children's party is not as difficult as you might think. Create soap bubbles with your own hands, get ready to launch them together with the children at the right moment according to the scenario, and then the most joyful experience for your child and his friends is guaranteed! The instructions and recipes below will help you organize such an event.

How to make soap bubbles at home

To produce such a fun activity at home, you don’t need any special skills or creating complex devices. If the child still has a box of purchased bubbles, the task is simplified: you just need to prepare a solution and pour it into the bottle. If there is no special frame for releasing soap balls, you can simply make one from wire or blow bubbles out of a tube. If you have design skills, from a fan and several molds for bubbles rotating in a circle in front of it, you can even make a generator at home to blow them out.

Before you choose the right solution for the balloons you want to blow, it's important to know a few rules that will help make blowing them fun:

  • It is better to make the solution with distilled water. If you did not buy such purified liquid, you can replace it with boiled, settled water at home.
  • Balloons are easier to blow out in high air humidity, but it is more difficult to do this in windy weather.
  • Once you have prepared the foam solution, let it sit for 12 hours to a day before using it.

Unpopping bubbles

It’s very disappointing when the balloon quickly bursts before it even comes off the frame. The answer to the question of how to make unpopping soap bubbles at home will be recipes for solutions with glycerin and sugar. This mixture will allow you not only to admire rainbow balls of different sizes longer, but also to blow figures out of it on a smooth surface. Try using this solution:

  • Make sugar syrup by adding 1 tablespoon of water to 5 teaspoons of sugar.
  • Combine the ingredients in the following proportion:
    • syrup – 1 part;
    • grated soap – 2 parts;
    • glycerin – 4 parts;
    • water – 8 parts.

You can prepare another solution from which you can make unbreakable spheres at home using this recipe:

  • Mix the ingredients:
    • hot water (but not boiling water!) – 300 ml;
    • liquid glycerin – 150 ml;
    • washing powder – 25 g;
    • ammonia – 10 drops.
  • Let the resulting homogeneous mass brew for 72 hours, then filter if necessary.
  • This mixture should be stored in the refrigerator.

Giant soap bubbles

Huge and very beautiful rainbow spheres can be released from the solution to create durable balls. How to make big soap bubbles at home? For this purpose, construct a simple loop for blowing them out.

  • Take:
    • two sticks 30-50 cm long - they should be small, not thick, but should not bend;
    • woolen thread or rope approximately 1.5 m long and no more than 3 mm thick.
  • Tie the ends of the rope and then lay it out on a flat surface in the shape of a triangle.
  • Tie the sticks to the two corners of the figure, then spread them to the sides - between them you will get a loop.

The mixture to create large balls must be diluted at the bottom of a wide basin. Dip a rope into the solution, lift it into the air and begin to slowly move back. Large soap bubbles will be formed by the air flow passing through the loop. The result will be especially good when there is no wind outside. Take note of another solution composition that is suitable for blowing huge spheres:

  • To 500 ml of water, add dishwashing detergent - 200 ml, and glycerin - 100 ml.
  • The volume of the mixture can be reduced by observing the indicated proportions.
  • The solution must be left for 1 day.

Try to do everything yourself before inviting your child to play. This way you can see and correct possible errors or shortcomings in the production of the composition, and then offer children fun fun without any annoying or unpleasant surprises.

Also, before directly blowing the sphere, make sure that there are no small bubbles along the edges of the transparent film on which you need to blow. If these appear, wait until they disappear, because they cause the balloon to burst before it has time to deflate. Try different solutions recipes and choose the one that is optimal for you in terms of ease of preparation and quality. If you learn to do everything correctly, you will always be able to create a joyful atmosphere for children's leisure time.

Perhaps each of us remembers how in childhood we loved to blow large and bright soap bubbles that were blown from a tube.

How fun was it to run around and catch them?

And then be upset that the bubbles ran out so quickly?

We even tried to make them ourselves then, but for some reason it didn’t work out.

Why? Let's try to figure out how to make soap bubbles correctly, because sometimes you really want to go back to childhood and so carefree enjoy all sorts of trifles.

How to make soap bubbles at home: rainbow bubble tricks

Of course, the main “ingredients” for preparation are the solution itself and the sticks through which we will release soap bubbles. Below are the 5 most common recipes for their preparation, but they are not final; you can select some points to suit your capabilities and conditions. But first, some Recommendations for creating soap bubbles at home.

1. To create it, it is better to use boiled water, and the best solution would be to use distilled water.

2. The final result will depend on the total number of impurities (perfumery, etc.); the fewer there are in soap or other product, the better.

3. To make the prepared solution denser and the bubbles better, it is recommended to use sugar or glycerin dissolved in warm water. It is important not to overdo it, as too much sugar or glycerin can prevent the bubbles from blowing out.

4. If the solution is not dense enough, the bubbles will also be less stable. But there is also a positive point - they are easier to blow out, which is good for children.

5. For maximum end results, many people recommend letting the solution sit for about 12-20 hours before using it.

6. Before you start blowing bubbles, it is advisable to wait until there is a solid film (on which you will blow) without any extra small bubbles on the edges that may occasionally appear. Ideally, it would be to remove the foam altogether: to do this, the liquid needs to be infused and cooled, this will help get rid of foam formations as much as possible.

7. It is very difficult to blow bubbles in windy weather and dust in the air, but if the air humidity is high, this is definitely a plus.

How to make bubbles as strong as possible

To best strengthen the mixture you need mix water, glycerin and shampoo. For this, two tablespoons of glycerin and 100 ml of water will be enough. Such a small amount will in no way interfere with the creation of excellent bubbles, but, on the contrary, will strengthen them, and after blowing they will not burst for a long time.

Use a standard straw that is found in any home, for example, for a cocktail. Then soak it in the soap or shampoo solution and blow out the bubble. There is a great way to check if you did everything right. To do this, dip your finger in the solution and try to break through the bubble. If you manage to do this, it means that the solution is not ready yet, and you still need to add soap to it.

How to make soap bubbles at home: what products to use

We have already shared some of the secrets of making cool soap bubbles with you, now you need to familiarize yourself with the correct technique for blowing them. Actually, to begin with, take a very ordinary plate and some flower or figurine or any other small object, and also prepare a watering can.

First you need to pour a little solution into a plate and put any object in the middle, cover it all with a watering can and try to blow out a bubble. This way you will get a wonderful soap hemisphere, in the very center of which the very object will be located. Frankly, the spectacle is fascinating.

To create bubbles, you can use a regular ballpoint pen. If you want to surprise your baby, try preparing “stringy” bubbles. This is how especially large bubbles are made.

To make a solution for these stringy bubbles, prepare the following ingredients: dishwashing detergent, water, and one tablespoon of sugar. We'll talk about recipes a little later, because these and other ingredients can be combined in different proportions depending on the desired end result.

Children's joy

If your house is always noisy and your children regularly ask for new entertainment, you can arrange a little competition for them to see who can inflate the bubble the fastest and the most. Blowing soap bubbles has delighted children and their parents for many years, but not everyone can do it. In principle, the solution is not difficult to make, and it is not expensive at all, so you can make your baby happy every day.

How to make soap bubbles at home: recipes

To blow the largest possible soap bubbles, you will need to prepare special equipment. In our opinion, the best option would be to build a large circle of strong wire. Thus, we will get a kind of lasso, with the help of which we can dip it in a bucket of solution and inflate a large soap bubble.

In principle, you yourself can prepare the necessary device to your taste. The only thing is, be careful with soap bubbles, because they can easily get into your eyes. If this happens, immediately rinse your eyes with water. In fact, there are a large number of devices with which you can create soap bubbles. But even with such a harmless way of having fun, you need to be careful. Be careful not to let the bubble get into your eyes. If this happens, simply rinse it with water.

So, here we come to the main thing, directly to the recipes themselves. You can choose any one you like.

Recipe No. 1. Take some dishwashing detergent (for example, Fairy), glycerin (it is sold in all pharmacies) and water, preferably boiled. The detergent is needed to give our bubbles brightness, and glycerin will make them stronger.

Manufacturing process: pour 200 g of detergent into the dishes, add 100 ml of glycerin to it and dilute it all in 600 ml of water. The resulting mixture needs to be mixed well and voila!.. you can inflate!

Recipe No. 2. This recipe is quite simple, you just need to take water and dishwashing detergent. The ingredients must be selected in the following ratio: 30 ml of detergent per 100 ml of water. Then just mix the solution and you're done!

Recipe No. 3. This recipe is more complex than the first 2, accordingly, and you will have to tinker with it a little more.

To prepare it you need: 300 ml of glycerin, 50 g of washing powder, 20 drops of ammonia and 600 ml of hot water. Pour all the ingredients into one bowl, or even better, into a jar and mix well. Next is an important point! Leave the resulting mixture and infuse for 48 hours, more is possible. Then we filter everything through cheesecloth and put it in the refrigerator for 12 hours. Despite the time investment, the result will pleasantly surprise you - the process is completed!

Recipe No. 4. This recipe is even more complex than the previous one and all the others, although, in truth, the bubbles will not be better, they will be about the same quality. To prepare it, you need to take: laundry soap (1 pc.), hot water (400 ml), sugar (2 teaspoons).

It is prepared as follows: take a piece of soap and rub it on a coarse grater. Then pour hot water over the soap shavings and cook over low heat and leave to dissolve, remembering to stir from time to time. The resulting solution should be cooled and refrigerated for 6–7 days. After a week, add sugar to the mixture and stir. After the sugar has dissolved, the soap bubbles are ready! To strengthen the bubbles, it is also recommended to add a couple of drops of glycerin.

Recipe No. 5. One of the simplest options. To prepare this recipe, you only need bubble bath and boiled water. The strongest and most visually beautiful bubbles can be obtained from “Little Fairy” foam or other products similar in composition. All you need to do is mix bath foam and water in a ratio of 3 to 1 - and go ahead, delight the kids!

And finally, we offer you a list of tools that can be used for blowing soap bubbles.

A cocktail straw or ballpoint pen from which the refill and caps have previously been removed. However, if you want to blow large bubbles, then these options are definitely not suitable.

For larger bubbles, make 4 small 3cm cuts at one end of the cocktail straw. Next, turn the cuts in different directions so that it looks like flower petals.

It is also a good option to use rigid wire, one end of which is bent into a loop with a diameter of 4 cm.

However, if you want to get the largest possible bubbles, you simply cannot do without a funnel, through which you can blow bubbles up to 25–30 cm in diameter. However, do not forget that you will need to blow into the funnel several times, first plugging the hole into which you will blow, otherwise nothing will work out. This funnel can also be made by hand from paper.

Blowing soap bubbles is a very interesting game, and your child will no doubt have a blast! As you can see, there are very simple recipes for making them; all you need is a little time and some simple ingredients. Make a little effort and you will see the eyes of a happy child - what else do parents need to be happy?
