The taste of the finished moonshine with such yeast will be the same as if you were distilling dry wine.
DoubleSnake Fruit turbo yeast opens to its maximum when working with grape sugar dextrose and is suitable for fermenting fruit and berry mashes.
Turbo yeast differs from regular yeast due to the presence of fusel oils and harmful impurities in the blockers.
Such yeast is much safer than ordinary yeast; during the fermentation process, harmful substances and impurities are not formed in it.
Even after the first distillation, the drink does not have any unpleasant odors. There is no foam formation during fermentation.
It is characterized by an increased yield of the finished product. DoubleSnake Fruit Turbo yeast for moonshine and rectified alcohol can give up to 17% in mash,
with a minimum amount of fusel oils. Yeast is designed for 25 liters of mash in a ratio of 6 -7 kg of sugar or dextrose.

For each type of drink, a separate variety (strain) of yeast is used. They differ in their characteristics:

  1. Beer houses produce weak mash. There are two subspecies of yeast for beer - top and bottom. The former are used to prepare ales, and the latter – lagers.
  2. Alcoholic yeast is used for mash for moonshine. They allow you to get 17% liquid in less than a week.
  3. Wines are produced on fruit raw materials, therefore they are applicable only for berry and fruit mashes. They are rarely used for grape drinks, as in 99% of cases a sufficient amount of wild fungi forms on the berries.

Before preparing mash, be sure to read the instructions for using yeast. Some fungi can be added immediately, others must first be activated by soaking in water.

Why you shouldn't use baker's yeast

Beginners in moonshine often try to use baker's yeast instead of special yeast. Most often, the purpose of this idea is to save money or not want to look for suitable products.

Baker's yeast produces a very weak alcohol. To make a drink of normal strength, you have to use a lot of product, and the difference in price practically disappears. Beer made with such yeast has an unpleasant taste.

In the case of fruit and berry mashes, everything is more serious. The ingress of baking strains of fungus into them guarantees the death of the drink.

What is turbo yeast

Turbo yeast allows you to obtain either a very strong mash or a normal substance, but much faster than when using conventional cultures. Turbo yeast contains not only fungus. Various natural ingredients are added there, which stabilize chemical processes and accelerate them.
