But how else can we cook our favorite raw smoked sausage if we’re tired of sandwiches? Raw smoked sausage is perfect for making stew. Now we will tell you how to easily and simply prepare a delicious stew that will not take much time and will definitely appeal to everyone who loves meat.

The main character of our dish is raw smoked sausage “Moskovskaya” produced by Nõo Lihavürst. This is a sausage with a high meat content, made from both pork and beef, and smoked using natural alder shavings. A good raw smoked sausage should have a firm consistency and simply burst with meat. And raw smoked sausage “Moscow” from Nõo Lihavürst meets all these criteria.

To prepare the stew, you will also need beans, chickpeas, paprika, thyme and, of course, tomato sauce. Season the ragu with a little salt and pepper and serve it with fresh, crisp ciabatta. If you prefer spicy dishes, you can add chopped chili peppers to the stew.

First fry the sausage pieces and only then add other ingredients. Simmer a little in a frying pan and the stew is ready. Before serving, garnish the dish with the remaining paprika and thyme. Cut a thick slice of ciabatta and you can serve a hearty and delicious stew.

Ingredients

  • Raw smoked sausage “Moscow” from Nõo Lihavürst
  • Tomato sauce (you can use a ready-made mixture of beans and chickpeas in red sauce)
  • Paprika
  • Thyme
  • Pepper
  • Ciabatta for serving

Preparation

  1. Cut the raw smoked “Moscow” sausage from Nõo Lihavürst into cubes of a suitable size.
  2. Lightly fry the cubes in a frying pan.
  3. Add tomato sauce or prepared mixture.
  4. Add red beans and chickpeas and chopped paprika to the pan.
  5. Fry the mixture in a frying pan for a few minutes.
  6. Season with a little salt and pepper.
  7. Add thyme for decoration.
  8. Serve with ciabatta.

Pour vegetable oil into a saucepan or wok and put on fire. Peel the onion and cut into half rings. Place the onion in a frying pan and fry lightly.

Peel the carrots and cut into circles or semi-circles. Place in a frying pan and fry along with the onion, stirring occasionally, for 2 minutes.

Cut the zucchini into medium pieces. Remove seeds from pepper and cut into medium cubes. Add zucchini, beans, peppers and peas to vegetables with sausage. Mix everything well and simmer covered for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Cut the tomatoes into medium pieces and add to the vegetables, add salt and mix well. Simmer covered for 5 minutes.

Wash the greens and chop finely. Peel the garlic and crush it with a knife. Add herbs and garlic to the vegetables, mix everything well. Cover the vegetable stew with sausage and remove from heat. Let it brew for 15 minutes.
