The first option will be crispy, the second - soft. Which is better is a matter of taste.

Experienced chefs recommend frying the product for a quarter of an hour. Throw it into a hot frying pan with well-heated oil. Do not cover with a lid, set the heat to medium. Readiness can be easily determined by the appearance of a golden brown crust.

Fry for three minutes on each side. Then pour 150 ml of boiled water into a container, throw in a bay leaf and a couple of allspice peas.

Cover the pan with a lid and turn up the heat. Wait until the liquid evaporates and do not turn off the gas for another 2-3 minutes so that the dumplings dry out and become crusty.

Recipes for pan-fried dumplings are no different in complexity. But to make the process even easier, it's useful to know some tricks.

So that the dumplings fry faster and brown evenly, it is advisable to buy small frozen semi-finished products.

Before cooking, let it thaw a little and press lightly on the sides with your fingers. The dumplings will become flat, fry faster, and become equally golden on all sides.

Place dumplings in a frying pan only when the oil is well heated. This way the dough will not stick to the bottom, and the cooking process will go faster.

For a variety of flavors, before finishing frying, you can pour tomato sauce over the dumplings, add a little bay leaf, basil, hot pepper, and cloves. Or sprinkle with sesame seeds.

To reduce the calorie content of the dish, the finished fried dumplings should be placed on a paper towel, thus removing excess fat.

This is how a completely simple dish can be diversified and made original. The given recipes and recommendations for choosing a sauce confirm this. Well, if you don’t restrain your flight of culinary imagination, you can probably create more than one delicious dish from ordinary dumplings.

You can learn more about the intricacies of frying dumplings from the following video.

Despite following proper nutrition, many people have various semi-finished products in their freezer. After all, there are times when you have neither the time nor the energy to cook something exquisite and elaborate. The most favorite semi-finished product comes to the rescue - dumplings. We are all used to boiling them. But few people know that this product is baked in the oven and fried in a frying pan. How to fry dumplings so that they turn out no worse than boiled ones?

How to fry dumplings in a frying pan?

What kind of dumplings should you fry: fresh or frozen? To prevent the dough from breaking and the filling from leaking out, it is better to fry the product frozen. But, it is important to know the frying period. After all, dumplings may not be cooked well. And the dough will turn out ready, fried, but the meat filling will remain raw. There are several options for frying semi-finished products.

The most common and simplest option is sunflower or frying. The number of dumplings is determined by the size of the pan. It is necessary that the bottom of the dish is completely covered with the semi-finished product in one row. At the same time, dumplings should feel free. Otherwise, they will stick together during cooking.

So, for frying you will need the following ingredients:

  • Frozen dumplings - 22 pieces;
  • Salt - to taste;
  • Pepper - to taste.

Frying process

The whole frying process does not take much time. In addition, there is no need to wait for the dumplings to defrost. They are prepared straight from the freezer. If the diameter of the pan is 24 cm, you will need 22 dumplings. But the dimensions of the product itself are also taken into account. At the first stage, the frying pan is sent to the fire to heat up, where oil is poured.

Dumplings are placed on a hot dish so that they do not touch each other. After laying out, the product must be mixed so that it is covered with oil on all sides. At this time, you need to boil some water. The dumplings are fried until a fried, golden crust forms on their surface. To prevent the semi-finished product from sticking to the bottom of the pan, it is constantly stirred.

Now 1 liter (approximately) of boiling water is poured into the bowl. The amount of liquid should be enough to cover the dumplings by 1/2. Since the frying pan is hot and there is oil in it, when water is poured in, the process of hissing and splashing will begin. Cover the product with a lid and reduce the heat to low. The dish is cooked until all the water has disappeared. The product is ready to use.

Deep fry dumplings

The crispy dish can be obtained by deep frying it. Such dumplings will resemble small whites or crunches. It's better to use a deep fryer. If there is none, use a deep frying pan with thick walls. But, in this case, the vegetable oil will give off a large amount of fumes.

For 20 pieces of frozen dumplings you will need up to 1 liter of sunflower oil. Fill the deep fryer with oil to the maximum mark. If using a frying pan, there should be enough oil to completely cover the product. The oil should get hot. Now the dumplings are placed in a grid or frying pan with hot oil.

The fryer closes, but the frying pan cannot be covered with a lid. Many people do not adhere to this rule, trying to save the kitchen from splashes of oil in the frying pan. The condensation that collects under the lid will cause even more fumes and splashes. When using a deep fryer, there is no need to stir the dumplings. The machine itself will notify you when the product is ready. Frying in a pan requires several stirrings.

But this must be done with extreme caution so as not to get burned from the splashing oil. The degree of readiness is noticeable by the color of the dumplings. The finished dish should have a rich, golden color. In general, the color will be similar to fried white pie. Place the dumplings in a colander for a few minutes to drain off excess oil. The dish is ready to eat. Any sauce is suitable for fried dumplings - mayonnaise, cheese or mushroom sauce, sour cream.

Cooking dumplings in a slow cooker

You can fry a semi-finished product in such a modern kitchen device as a multicooker. This device perfectly replaces a simple frying pan. In this case, a frozen product is also used. You won't get a golden crust, but the dish will be rich and juicy. At the same time, a minimal amount of oil and fat is used.

For 500 grams of product you will need:

  • 1/2 glass of water;
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil;
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream;
  • Spices, salt to taste.

So, the multicooker bowl is greased with oil, and the “Baking” mode is set on the device. Let the bowl warm up for a few minutes, after which the frozen semi-finished product is poured into it and the lid is closed. After 10 minutes have passed, the dumplings are mixed and water is added to them. The dish is prepared for another half hour. In this case, the semi-finished product will turn out juicy, but without a crust. After complete cooking, the dish is poured with sour cream and seasonings.

Delicious recipes

Just frying dumplings is banal. Despite the fact that dumplings are considered not the healthiest product, culinary specialists have developed a large number of variations in their preparation. Various sauces, seasonings, and spices are used.

Dumplings in egg with soy sauce

The following components will be needed:

  • Vegetable oil - 4 tablespoons;
  • Homemade mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons;
  • Chicken egg - 2 pieces;
  • Dumplings - 400 grams;
  • Salt - to taste;
  • Green peas - 100 grams;
  • Greens - to taste;
  • Hard cheese - 120 grams;
  • Soy sauce - 1.5 tablespoons.

At the first stage, the dumplings are fried in a frying pan, as described earlier. Next, the baking dish is greased with oil. Fried semi-finished product is placed in it. In another bowl, mix the following ingredients: eggs, salt, peas, mayonnaise, herbs. This mixture is poured into the dish and placed in a preheated oven for 15 minutes. 3-5 minutes before the dish is ready, sprinkle with grated cheese and finish cooking. Removed from the oven, the dumplings are poured with soy sauce and served.

Dumplings with sour cream

The ingredients of the dish are as follows:

  • Dumplings - 300 grams;
  • Sour cream - 200 grams;
  • Mayonnaise - 1 tablespoon;
  • Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoons;
  • Salt, pepper - to taste.

Mix salt, pepper, mayonnaise and sour cream. Next, the dumplings are fried in vegetable oil. 4-5 minutes after the start of frying, the prepared mixture is added to the dish. The pan is sent to the oven for baking until completely cooked. When serving, the dish is sprinkled with herbs.

Fried dumplings in sauce (spicy)

Due to the special vegetable sauce, the dish turns out very tasty, with a rich aroma. Also in this case, boiled dumplings are used for frying. So, the dish contains the following ingredients:

  • Vegetable oil;
  • Onions (2 heads);
  • Tomatoes (400 grams);
  • Sweet pepper (300 grams);
  • Hot pepper (1 piece);
  • Dumplings (500 grams);
  • Salt, spices (to taste);
  • Dry red wine (2 tablespoons).

At the first stage, the dumplings are boiled in salted water. After cooking, pour the product into a colander to remove excess moisture. At this time, the vegetable sauce is being prepared. So, the onion is cut into small cubes and fried in vegetable oil. When the onion begins to acquire a golden color, chopped peppers (sweet and hot) and tomatoes are added to it.

Set the heat on the stove to medium and simmer the sauce for 10 minutes. After this time, wine is added to the sauce. The dressing is simmered for another 4-5 minutes. In parallel with stewing, dumplings are fried in another frying pan. After they are ready, the dish is poured with the prepared sauce and served.

The dumplings fried until crispy resemble pies to some, some see them as small pasties, but there are simply no people indifferent to the dish! Adults love them and children adore them. They are suitable at home and outdoors. The most important thing is to learn how to fry them correctly, achieving an even golden crust on all sides of the dumplings.

Boiled dumplings and fried ones are two fundamentally different dishes in taste. Frying automatically turns the dumplings into a kind of fast food - if desired, they can be easily eaten even on the run, tossing them into the mouth like sunflower seeds.

The biggest difficulty is not to overcook the product, to achieve a uniform texture, to cook it the same on all sides, without drying out the filling. This is easy to do if you follow a few tips.

Classic frying technology includes several steps:

  1. Heat a frying pan over high heat.
  2. Pour vegetable oil there so that it is two fingers higher than the bottom of your dish.
  3. Wait until light bubbles appear on the oil.
  4. Throw dumplings in there.
  5. Reduce heat to medium.
  6. Fry them, stirring constantly.
  7. Remove the finished dumplings as they are ready.
  8. The sign of readiness is a golden-honey brown crust.

Immediately after frying, it is important to place the dumplings on a paper towel - it will absorb excess oil. You can serve the dish with a sauce of tomatoes and herbs, mayonnaise, garlic and sour cream, and in nature - with barbecue sauce or ketchup.

Remember! Dumplings are quite a high-calorie product in themselves: 100 grams of the finished dish contains up to 300 kcal, depending on the composition. Frying increases it many times over, because in the process they absorb a large amount of vegetable oil.

How to fry frozen dumplings in a frying pan?

A frozen pack of dumplings always lies in the refrigerator of bachelors and thrifty housewives with many children. It happens that there are guests on the doorstep, or an unexpected picnic is planned, but there is nothing to take with you. No problem - frozen dumplings will quickly come to the rescue. But there are some subtleties - it’s very easy to undercook the product, leaving some sides raw and the other “smoky.”

Try to follow the following rules:

  1. Preheat a frying pan to medium heat.
  2. Add half a glass of water (based on a standard pack of dumplings of 0.9 kg).
  3. Wait for the water to warm up.
  4. Place dumplings there.
  5. Stir them and cover with a lid.
  6. After 2-3 minutes, stir again.
  7. When the dumplings have thawed a little, add 30-40 ml to them. oils
  8. Continue frying, stirring constantly.
  9. The finished dumplings are golden; you need to remove them carefully, one at a time, using a slotted spoon.

Make sure that the frying utensils are spacious and that the dumplings do not stick together. In a small frying pan you can fry them in portions, pouring 7-8 pieces into the frying pan. Remove when ready, adding new ones. Don’t think that the process is complicated - the total cooking time will not exceed 15 minutes per kilogram of dumplings.

Serving the finished dish is especially good with hot sweet mint tea.

This is interesting! Some housewives advise before cooking to let the dumplings thaw slightly for 10 minutes, and then lightly “flatten” each one with your hands. It is believed that this way they cook more evenly and become tastier. But remember: they must thaw on a board sprinkled with flour: otherwise the meat ears may stick and tear before frying begins.

Frying in oil and water

Frying in oil and water is somewhat different from classic recipes. Here it is important to first heat the oil over medium heat, and then, as soon as the dumplings are slightly fried, add a little water and cover the frying pan with a lid.

To ensure a satisfying result, follow these steps when frying:

  1. Heat the frying pan over medium heat: if you immediately turn it on high, they may burn.
  2. Add oil there and heat it properly.
  3. Add dumplings in portions, optimally: 8-9 pieces at a time.
  4. Stir constantly to prevent them from sticking together.
  5. Add water as soon as you see that the dumplings have become transparent: this means they have thawed slightly, and the steam will only speed up the cooking process.
  6. When the dish is almost ready, you can add half a glass of sour cream. The sauce soaks the dumplings and they literally melt in your mouth.

Data! The trick to frying frozen dumplings is to let them soak in hot steam at the very first stage of cooking. This way the dumplings quickly thaw, and timely added vegetable oil allows you to achieve a pleasant golden crust.

Boiled dumplings in a frying pan

Ready-made boiled dumplings can also be slightly fried: this variation is very popular with children who love a crispy crust in butter. But here it is very important to cook the dumplings correctly and not to bring them to readiness, otherwise they will fall apart during the frying process.

Achieving the right result is simple: first boil the dumplings until half cooked, removing them from the pan 1-2 minutes after floating. While they are cooking, heat a frying pan, add a large piece of butter and let it melt. Place the dumplings on a hot frying pan, let them “set” at the bottom, and then turn them over. Frying should be quick, then the meat “ears” will not have time to lose their shape and will retain their elastic, attractive appearance.

What to serve the dish with? It is very unusual and tasty to eat dumplings with water to which a weak solution of vinegar and black pepper has been added. It is best to treat children by seasoning the dish with sour cream.

Advice! When buying dumplings for frying, pay attention to the product category. Category “A” is considered the best: these dumplings contain 80% natural meat. In category “B” this figure decreases to 60%, and the least amount of meat is added to dumplings labeled “B”, “G”, “D”. There will always be more dough in such a product; manufacturers also do not regret adding semolina, soy and trimmings to the minced meat. To play it safe, it’s better to make the dumplings yourself and freeze them for future use.

How to fry dumplings with cheese?

The cheese crust adds a festive taste, so these dumplings are easy to prepare for buffet tables, for example, for children's birthdays.

To prepare you will need:

  • Ready-made dumplings (can be frozen) – 0.9 kg.
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp.
  • Soft cheese of any type – 150 g.

Fry the dumplings according to the classic recipe. Place in a baking dish and sprinkle with grated cheese. Preheat the oven. Bake the dish until the cheese melts. Remove and serve in portions.

Accent! Mozzarella is best suited for this dish: it melts instantly, and its creamy taste goes well with any meat filling - from poultry to beef.

Don’t be afraid to experiment, diversify your diet, pamper your loved ones with fresh homemade cooking.

Even if you don’t like dumplings too much, you will definitely like the fried ones. I used to think that there was only one recipe for preparing the national dish beloved by Russians - to cook it. But no! In addition, I unexpectedly found a couple of advantages of the new method that really attracted me: they don’t get overcooked, they have a crispy crust - very tempting, and the meat inside always turns out juicy.

I feel obligated to immediately warn you about one drawback. They are high in calories! And you shouldn’t get carried away with them every day - eat only 100 grams. (there is nothing to eat there, in these grams) and you will get 200 - 300 kcal. True, I was recently told that it is possible to reduce caloric intake. Place the already fried dumplings on a paper towel and let the excess oil drain off.

How to fry dumplings in a frying pan

You can fry already cooked dumplings, but frozen ones are also good. The only difference is the crust - boiled ones will be softer. Products from the freezer will come out with a crispy crust, which many especially appreciate in the dish.

How long to fry:

The average frying time does not exceed 15–20 minutes. Frozen ones take longer to fry; in addition, the heat treatment time depends on the size of the product.

You can’t do without cooking tips, even despite the apparent simplicity of the process:

  • Allow the frozen product to thaw a little first. But not just like that, but with intent. When the dough is a little soft, press each dumpling with your hands until it becomes flat. Then it will cook evenly.
  • Before placing the pieces in the frying pan, heat the oil thoroughly - they will not stick and will turn over easily.
  • When purchasing, choose small specimens; they will be ready faster.
  • Do not cover or you will end up with a stew.
  • But to prevent the crust from becoming too hard, cover the pan with a lid for a couple of minutes at the very end of frying.
  • If you want to fry the product evenly, select medium heat. And during the process, turn each dumpling over several times, and also for this purpose - uniform frying will be ensured.

It would seem that fried dumplings do not give the opportunity to let your imagination run wild and diversify the dish. But our hostesses are not so simple and have proven it once again.

Additives that improve taste:

  • At the end of frying, the dish is sometimes filled with tomato paste diluted with water.
  • Towards the end of the process, sprinkle the product with sesame seeds.
  • You can prepare dumplings simply, with onions or top them with sour cream; there are recipes with sauce and cheese. At the bottom of the article, in addition to recipes, I will give you several options for sauces for preparing a delicious dish.

However, keep in mind that delicacies add calories to the dish.

  1. Cut the onion into rings (diced, but large), and place it in a frying pan with heated oil.
  2. Fry the onion until translucent, and to prevent it from completely frying, it is better to do it under a closed lid.
  3. Place boiled (frozen) dumplings in a frying pan, add a little salt and continue frying.
  4. Watch the oil, you need a lot of it, and add more if necessary.
  5. To speed up the process and make frozen products ready faster, briefly cover the pan with a lid in the middle of frying. This does not apply to boiled ones, where the process will go quickly.

Recipe for fried dumplings baked in the oven

The most difficult dish I have offered you.

  • Take: boiled ravioli, a couple of onions, sweet peppers, tomatoes, some cheese, tomato sauce, various seasonings and herbs. The highlight of this recipe is red wine. If you want to make the dish more substantial, replace these vegetables with a store-bought frozen mixture.

Prepare:

  1. Boil the dumplings and fry them for 3 – 4 minutes on each side.
  2. Place chopped onions in a frying pan with heated oil, then alternately bell peppers and tomatoes.
  3. Add salt, pour in a little red wine and a spoonful of tomato sauce, add seasonings.
  4. Place this dressing on top of the fried products, sprinkle with grated cheese and place in the oven for 10 - 15 minutes.

Sauces for fried dumplings

I offer you three recipes for sauces with which you can pour an already fried product:

  • Recipe No. 1. Add chopped garlic and a little bit of any greenery to the mayonnaise - this will be the sauce with which you will eat the dumplings and decide that life is good.
  • Recipe no. Mix soy sauce diluted with water with a handful of sesame seeds. Add sauce to plate. Or simmer everything together for 5 - 10 minutes. Cook in a frying pan, covering it with a lid, or put it in the oven to simmer.
  • Recipe No. 3. Fry the onion, then the dumplings, and pour in beaten eggs and sour cream.

I found a video that tells you step by step about frying dumplings. Eat deliciously and variedly, my dears, that’s why we live, to enjoy life. And I will be happy for you. With love... Galina Nekrasova.
