Sometimes you want to cook very simple dishes in an original way. So we offer some unusual ideas for our usual mashed potatoes with sausages. To make such dishes in your kitchen, you don’t need any overseas delicacies. Every housewife will have all the ingredients.

Mashed potatoes with cream

This dish is very easy to prepare. You don't need to have any special skills.

For cooking you will need:

  • 1 glass of milk;
  • 1.5 kg of potatoes;
  • 3 tbsp. l. cream;
  • butter and salt (to taste).

First peel the potatoes and then boil them. Then mash it, dilute it with milk, slightly warmed with cream. Next, season the dish with salt and butter. After this, stir the puree until smooth.

Diet puree

If you are currently on a diet, but want to cook an original dish with mashed potatoes, then pay attention to the following recipe.

For cooking you will need:

  • 0.5 kg each of potatoes and cauliflower;
  • 50 ml milk;
  • salt (to taste and optional).

First, peel and wash the potatoes. Then rinse the cabbage under running water. Boil it and the potatoes until tender, mash well. Pour in the heated milk. Stir.

Sausages with onions

To prepare our sausages with onions you will need:

  • sunflower oil;
  • 1 onion;
  • 3 sausages.

Peel the onion and chop it. Cut the sausage into three pieces. Afterwards, we make cross-shaped cuts on both sides of each piece.

Heat a frying pan and grease it with oil. Fry the onion until transparent. Next, throw the sausages in there. Fry until the “roses” open.

After this, place the mashed potatoes with sausages and onions on a plate. Serve the dish warm. The dish goes well with fresh herbs and cucumber and tomato salad.

Mashed potatoes with sauce

Now let's look at another recipe.

To prepare the dish you will need:

  • 1 kilogram of potatoes;
  • 300 grams of green beans and the same amount of sausages.

To prepare the sauce you will need:

  • two onions;
  • 500 ml broth;
  • half 1 tbsp. spoons of mustard;
  • 20 grams of flour;
  • 50 ml olive oil.

Wash the potatoes and peel them. Next, cut it into small pieces. Simmer in a saucepan for about twenty minutes. Once the potatoes are cooked, drain the liquid, reserving about one and a half cups. Stir the potatoes thoroughly and crush them. Add some butter. Stir.

Now start preparing the sauce. Peel and finely chop the onion. Fry in a frying pan with butter until golden. Drop the flour. Then pour in the broth. Cook until the sauce thickens. As soon as this happens, add mustard.

Then cut the beans into small pieces and place them in boiling water for one minute. After this, place it in cold water. This way the beans will cook but still have the same color.

Clean the sausages. Place in a saucepan. How long should you cook sausages in boiling water? Five minutes will be enough. Next, place the mashed potatoes with sausages and beans on a plate. Pour the sauce over the top of the dish. Serve to the table

Mashed potatoes in waffles

Let's consider an even more original dish. For cooking you will need:

  • one package of cake wafers;
  • egg;
  • 5 potatoes;
  • sunflower oil;
  • salt;
  • 500 grams of sausages.

Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes, boil. Add a little salt and then knead. Next, throw in the butter. Afterwards, open the waffles and place them on a board, creating waffle slabs from them. Top them with hot mashed potatoes. After waiting a couple of minutes, when the waffles become soft, lay out the pre-cleaned sausages. Then roll the waffles into a tube. Cut the resulting product into pieces approximately three centimeters thick.

Beat the egg in a separate container, adding a little salt. Then dip each piece in the egg. Fry in vegetable oil. Serve the waffle-wrapped sausage puree warm. If desired, you can place the products on a leaf of greenery.

Sausage in dough is probably the most popular dish in school and student canteens.

I suggest cooking sausages in potato dough in a frying pan, which will diversify your lunch or dinner. These sausages are easy to prepare, and they turn out filling and tasty.

Let's start by making mashed potatoes. To do this, peel the washed potatoes, rinse with water and cook in salted water until tender. Then drain the liquid and mash the potatoes into a puree.

Cool the puree until warm. Add flour and egg and mix. The result is a homogeneous, fairly dense mass that sticks a little to your hands and holds its shape. The amount of flour depends on what kind of potatoes you have: watery or not.

Divide the potato dough into equal pieces. Sprinkle the work surface a little with flour and flatten each piece into a flat, thin cake. Place a sausage in the middle (you can boil the sausages first) and connect the edges of the dough, forming a pie.

The process of preparing sausages in potato coats will consist of three stages. At the first stage, you need to prepare the potato dough, at the second - mold it and at the third - fry them in vegetable oil in a frying pan.

Wash the potatoes. Peel off the skin. Cut into several pieces. Place in a saucepan. Fill with water. Add some salt. Boil until tender for 20 minutes over low heat. Drain the water. Add butter. Remember mashed potatoes.

Let the mashed potatoes cool to room temperature. Place the required amount of mashed potatoes into a bowl. Beat an egg into it.

Stir. Add spices. Stir again.

Enter wheat flour.

As usual, we prepare all the necessary products:
six large potatoes,
seven to eight sausages (you can take lightly smoked or milk sausages),
a couple of eggs
three tablespoons of wheat flour,
a couple of teaspoons of semolina,
three tablespoons of softened butter,
salt to taste,
breadcrumbs.

Now let’s get down to the process of preparing baked sausages.
1. The first thing we do is prepare mashed potatoes. Boil the peeled potatoes over medium heat until tender. Don't forget to remove the foam. Next, mash the finished potatoes and add salt to taste, one egg, semolina and flour. Be sure to sift the flour before adding it.
2. Cool the finished puree a little. In a separate bowl, thoroughly beat one egg with melted butter. The oil should be warm, not hot.
3. From the cooled puree we make a flat cake, which we grease with a thin layer of egg-butter mixture.

4. Wrap the sausage in a flatbread and roll it in breadcrumbs on all sides.

5. Lightly grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil and place the “wrapped” sausages on it.

6. Grease the top with a thick layer of egg-oil mixture.

7. Preheat the oven to one hundred and eighty degrees and place a baking sheet in it for ten to fifteen minutes. You need to place it in an oven preheated to this temperature. Place the baked sausages carefully on a flat dish. Cool slightly and serve.

Sausages in mashed potatoes will be suitable as a carry-on item when you have to go on the road. They keep warm in the bag for a long time and do not take up much space in the bag.

Preparation:

  1. Peel the potatoes, wash and boil. Cool the finished potatoes, after draining the water, and crush them as for mashed potatoes.
  2. Add 2 eggs, semolina, flour and salt to the puree. Mix all this well.
  3. Place the resulting mass on a floured surface, roll out and cut into 6 equal rectangles.
  4. Peel the sausages from the casing and wrap them in potato rectangles. Roll each sausage in the puree in breadcrumbs.
  5. Grease the mold (or baking sheet) in which the dish will go into the oven with vegetable oil and place the sausages in the puree there.
  6. Melt the butter in a frying pan and beat with 1 egg. Pour the resulting mixture over the sausages in mashed potatoes and bake them in an oven preheated to 180-200 degrees for about 15-20 minutes until a golden brown crust forms.
