Order dinner at the Eiffel Tower. Restaurants in the Eiffel Tower and surrounding areas. The best restaurants, cafes and wine bars of Trocadero

A week ago I had dinner at one of the restaurants at the Eiffel Tower, and therefore I want to tell you how it differs from a regular restaurant and how to get there.

First, a little information: the tower has two restaurants, a bar and the opportunity to drink a glass of champagne on the top floor. The bar and champagne didn’t really interest us, but we weren’t averse to eating... The first restaurant is called “Jules Verne”, it is located at an altitude of 125 meters and is considered one of the best restaurants in Paris. But we didn’t get there... :) Seats in both the first and second restaurants must be booked in advance, much in advance. And our trip was very spontaneous, like “we decided today and flew away tomorrow.” And, of course, all the seats at Jules Verne were already taken... The second restaurant is not so cool, but also not bad. It’s called “48 Tour Eiffel” and is only at an altitude of fifty meters, but there we managed to book almost the last three seats for nine in the evening! Hooray! By the way, reserve seats at the first restaurant, and there at the second, keep in mind that the money is withdrawn from the card immediately and in full (the price for three “plates” is fixed) and failure to appear is not the reason for their return.

There are several menu types to choose from when booking, each with a choice of three different dishes. And you choose one of these three dishes on the spot. For example, we had “Opera Menu”.

We were immediately offered a choice of a glass of champagne or a cocktail, we chose the cocktail:

The cocktail is average, consisting of champagne and something pink. I would have been better off just ordering champagne. For starters they offered foie gras, smoked salmon with apples and shrimp salad. Here we also all chose the last option:

Tasty. Incredibly tasty, and this despite the fact that the entire salad consisted of two slices of cucumber, a piece of avocado, one shrimp and some kind of puree. The main dish was a piece of beef or John Dory, there was also something else, but I don’t remember:

The meat is tasty, but there is very little of it. :)

There wasn't much dory either, but it was cooked wonderfully. Both meat and fish are served with puree:

Om-Nom-nom! Dessert was chocolate cake, profiteroles and rum baba. I can’t say anything about the cupcake, but the rest of the items were delicious:

In their understanding, profiteroles are a sandwich dipped in hot chocolate, into which three scoops of ice cream were stuffed instead of ham. :)

We chose LaRoche Chablis for wine, and it turned out to be an excellent choice:

I would also like to note that the waiter was not a person of color, spoke excellent English, joked constantly and generally served very, very quickly! Overall, I liked the restaurant, I think we’ll visit it again! =)

P.S. Restaurant reservation does not include an entrance ticket to the tower. To avoid standing in line to get up, you can book your tickets in advance. Keep in mind that you also need to book at least a week in advance if you want to get to the very top.

The Eiffel Tower houses two restaurants and one bar, the main highlight of which is the panoramic views from the windows of these establishments. 58 Tour Eiffel located on the first floor (level) of the tower, on the second floor there is a restaurantLe Jules Verne(which is quite difficult to get into due to the nature of the reservation, and also due to the fact that everything is often reserved several months in advance), on the third - bar Champagne Bar :

“58 Tour Eiffel” - a popular tourist spot. Dinner is reserved and paid in advance through the restaurant’s website; when making a reservation, the visitor selects a menu. Menu prices range from 70 to 155 Euro*.

To go up to the restaurant, you do not need to stand in a general queue - a ticket for the elevator is purchased at a separate ticket office (4.50 euros*). Visitors stand in a separate queue, after 10-20 minutes they get into the elevator and go up to the restaurant.

When reserving seats near the panoramic windows of the restaurant (overlooking the Trocadero), you can choose only the most expensive menu option: for 155 Euros (Menu Service Premier). The menu consists of a set of dishes and drinks; you cannot order anything additional or replace a drink (with additional payment).

Arriving in Paris, you want to see and try as much as possible so that you have enough impressions until your next voyage. Typically, sightseeing and café visits alternate, but why not try combining both pleasures by going to a restaurant at the Eiffel Tower?

This idea is especially popular with couples who have decided to spend a few unforgettable days in the most amorous capital of Europe. And in order not to overshadow the upcoming dinner by languishing in line, book a table at one of the establishments in advance.

Restaurant 58 Tour Eiffel

The number “58” in the name is explained by the fact that the hall is located at this height. Previously, four wooden pavilions operated in its place, and then in the 30s, two restaurants were opened in their place, designed by Eiffel Gustave’s son-in-law, Auguste Garnet.

They existed until 1980, until a new wave of restoration of the first tier of the tower came. After its completion, guests were received in the new premises of “La Belle France” and “Le Parisien”.

In 1996, they merged and became a pub under the sign “Height 95”, repeating the name of the brewery, rising 95 meters above sea level, and the distinctive feature of the pub was the model of an airship in the center of the hall.

In 2009, the image changed again, and now the 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant, designed by Patrick Juin, is located here. It remained in its original form until 2013 before being given a glass floor, roof and railings, creating a striking effect of open space without borders.

The principle of the establishment is to create an atmosphere appropriate to the moment. If it's a dinner party that's mostly attended by families, there's a relaxed picnic feel with appropriate food, lighting, music, and service. In the evening, the concept changes, and to create a cozy and intimate atmosphere, the light becomes softer and the menu is transformed.

Staying in the glass room, you will involuntarily be enchanted by the opening panorama of the Trocadero, the Chaillot Palace and the beautiful sunset, painting the horizon with crimson colors.

If you are planning lunch for a group of up to 9 people, you will be shown to a table, and the food will be brought in a large picnic basket. The menu is updated twice a year, adjusting to seasonal products. For example, for the fall and winter of 2017-2018, a choice of: veal, cream of leek and chestnut soup, red wine sauce, duck thyme pie, smoked salmon, coleslaw with fresh apples is planned for entry.

For the main course, you can choose from grilled chicken breast, mashed potatoes with herbs, Madeira sauce with fresh cream or trout stewed with Brie lentils, vegetables, coriander and smoked soy.

For dessert, there is a pot of cream, mango marmalade, Guanaja chocolate mousse with praline, fruit salad and several other amazing recipes.

Lunch includes starter + main + dessert. Additionally, soft drinks, a glass of beer or wine are included. The menu for children under 12 years old costs 19 euros.

If you book the event in advance, it will cost 37.20 euros per person + 5.30 for the entrance ticket. You must purchase it at least 30 minutes before your meal at the ticket office from 11:30 to 15:30, located between the eastern and northern columns of the tower. Or you can book on the official website from 12:00 to 13:30, and to get it in your hands, contact the same box office.

You don’t have to worry about the kilometer-long queue to see the steel beauty, since you will be taken to the restaurant by a separate elevator. Lunch will last 1.30 minutes.

For those who wish to coincide the dinner at the Eiffel Tower with a family celebration (name day, wedding anniversary, etc.), a separate program is provided. As introductory dishes for the current autumn-winter season, a velvety soup with chestnuts, mushrooms and meat, a salad with black sesame seeds, as well as shrimp with sweet seasonings, avocado and pomelo are offered.

The main dish can be beef with red wine, smoked bacon with mushrooms, sea bream fillet, risotto from Haute Provence, champagne and nuts. For dessert - vanilla ice cream, hot chocolate with vanilla sauce and salted caramel, and wine of your choice.

By the way, if you are gathered for a special occasion, instead of the usual dessert, you can order a birthday cake, and replace the wine with the favorite sparkling drink of hussars and musketeers. To make the evening even more memorable, photographers who know how to capture beautiful angles and moments are at your service.

The party lasts from 18:30 to 21:00, so make sure to purchase your ticket in advance at the box office or make a reservation online to then pick up your pass on the spot. As with lunch, you need to arrive for dinner half an hour before it starts.

A regular dinner is available in options - for 93.70 or 113.70 euros, which includes a glass of champagne as an aperitif, a table in a separate room, an entrée + main + dessert + wine of your choice (red, white, rose) + mineral water + coffee. Children's menu 26 or 119 euros.

After 21:00 VIP service begins. Cost for adults: 93.70 – 180 euros with accommodation in a bay window, tasting of 4 courses and the best wines from personal cellars, for children: 26 – 180 euros.

Restaurant 58 also offers to celebrate New Year's Eve with the sounds of live music. The cost of this venture will cost at least 375 euros for adults and 200 euros for children. But if you want to get privileged seats overlooking the Trocadero, prepare from 495 euros for both adults and children.

Guests of the establishment can observe the mystery of cooking, since the kitchen was specially created open. The dishes look appetizing, are decorated with imagination, and taste excellent.

If we go by the reviews of visitors, the majority were satisfied with the food and service. But since everyone has different views and preferences, there will always be someone who adds a little “but” to the overall positive.

If you decide to visit this restaurant, keep in mind that there is no wardrobe here, you cannot enter with massive luggage or animals, and also be understanding if you are asked to open your bag and coat at the entrance - this is done for security purposes.

An even more luxurious place is the Jules Verne restaurant on the 2nd floor. The interior itself, with antique furniture, makes you willing to pay a bill that is twice the price of the 58 Tour Eiffel.

Patrick Juin was in charge of the decoration, and he wanted as much natural sunlight as possible to penetrate into the hall during the day, and in the evening, the darkness would be dispersed by muted intimate light and city lights penetrating through the large windows. Thanks to this, a special atmosphere of intimacy, mystery and romance is created inside.

Here they serve the classics of French cuisine, seasoned with bold modern ideas to make the taste more generous, richer, more unique.

You can book a table exclusively on the restaurant’s website from 19:00 to 21:30 by filling out a special form, indicating the day, time and number of guests. A separate elevator takes you upstairs, so you don’t have to jostle in line with others who want to explore the tower.

Try the “Experience” menu, composed of several courses, and discover what the cuisine of “Jules Verne” is like, accompanied by the best wines. Three courses – 105 euros, a course of five courses – 190 euros, a course of six – 230 euros.
Christmas will be even more magical if you spend your Christmas Eve evening at Jules Verne, admiring the amazing view of Paris while enjoying a specially designed festive menu (290-390 euros per person).

New Year's holidays can also be celebrated in this hospitable restaurant, and on December 31, from a height of 124 meters, you will be able to look at the city bathed in a sea of festive lights, tasting delicious dishes, drinking the best sparkling wines to the delightful sounds of a live orchestra. It will be an exceptional experience and an unforgettable moment, which will cost 600-800 euros.

While restaurants are more suitable for a leisurely time, buffets and bars are ideal for a quick and inexpensive snack. Several cafes at the Eiffel Tower are easy to find on the first two levels, and the assortment includes canapés, pizza, salads, homemade sandwiches, cold and hot drinks, various types of salty and neutral snacks, as well as a wide selection of baked goods. Buffets are open from 9:30 to 23:30.

Take a look at the 2nd floor and you will find yourself in the Macaron Bar - a paradise for those with a sweet tooth. Here they sell all varieties of macarons beloved by the French, painted in bright colors of the rainbow, filled with all kinds of fillings and alluring with a mouth-watering fragrance.

Choose your favorite flavors and try completely new ones: chocolate, raspberry, coffee, grapefruit, jasmine, vanilla, salted butter caramel...

It’s easy to find the establishment by the window, where the word “Paris” is lined with macaroons inside the glass counter.

But this is not all the pleasures that the tallest Parisian woman offers. At the top of the Eiffel's creation, rising 276 meters above the city, grab a glass of champagne at the Champagne Bar and, while enjoying its exquisite bouquet, look at Paris in a new way. This moment will become that warm memory that you return to with a light, dreamy smile.

You will be offered a choice of white champagne Alain Ducasse - its classic version for 13 euros or Light Cup for 18 euros. But one glass of sparkling wine never hurts another, so next up is GH Mumm pink champagne: classic for 17 euros or Cup Light for 22 euros.

The bar is open daily from 12:00 – 17:15, and after a break for an hour it resumes work from 18:15 – 22:45.

If you want to celebrate an anniversary, wedding, corporate party, seminar or other crowded event, why not do it in the spacious lounge for 300 people, located on the 1st floor?

After restoration in 2013, the hall acquired a glass roof offering a breathtaking panorama of the city, modern equipment and a modular station.

The staff will help you organize your meeting at its best. From 9:30 to 18:00 there is usually a seminar (105 euros), if the event is before 15:00, then the cost is 83 euros. Cocktails from 99 euros, and lunch or dinner menus from 71 euros.

If desired, after the official part, the meal can be transferred to restaurant 58 or Jules Verne.

Conclusion

As you can see, there are plenty of reasons to linger at the Eiffel Tower and opportunities to get a lot of pleasure. Although you are unlikely to experience gastronomic ecstasy (there are more sophisticated establishments), the very fact of a fantastic dinner inside the symbol of the French capital adds a special flavor to the event, making the food seem tastier and the drinks more refined.

For a few hours, while you indulge in bliss, drinking wine, and caring waiters flutter around you in a desire to please, the world around you will suddenly become ideal, and your mood will be fabulous.

And don’t forget about the photos in the restaurant on the Eiffel Tower, which you will certainly take to show off on your social pages.

A must-do on a Parisian vacation is climbing the Eiffel Tower. Killing two birds with one stone: getting to know the famous engineering creation of the 19th century and seeing the sights from a bird's eye view, or a helicopter flight. But some travelers, especially those who are not in Paris for the first time, want to please not only the eyes, but also the stomach. For the latter, this short review has been prepared - panoramic restaurants in Paris with a view of the Eiffel Tower. In these establishments, decent cuisine is combined with an exceptional view of the French capital. However, before you book a table at one of them, still check reviews on specialized sites like TripAdvisor and La Fourchette.

Restaurants with the best views of the tower

In these establishments you will not only enjoy excellent cuisine, but also take the best photographs of the Eiffel Tower, since all the restaurants are located near “Our Lady,” as many Parisians today call the creation of Gustav Eiffel.

Le Сiel de Paris

Address: Tour Montparnasse 33, avenue du Maine

The highest restaurant in France is certainly “The Sky of Paris,” as the name of this establishment is translated. Located on the 56th floor of the Montparnasse Tower. Having built it in the early 70s, the Parisians grabbed their heads: “What have we done?!” - but it was too late. The only thing that reconciles all the skyscraper haters is a restaurant with a stunning view of the city. And for the evening view of the shimmering golden Eiffel Tower, you can forgive the steep prices or jambs of waiters, if any.

The menu features classic French cuisine with a variety of fish, scallops and lobster. Meat eaters were also not left out: rabbit, foie gras, veal, duck magre. From 8 to 11 a.m., a classic French breakfast is served: coffee or tea, fresh juice and a basket of hot pastries with honey and jam. For 15 euros per nose you get a quiet restaurant (usually only a couple of tables are occupied) and a view of the awakening Paris.

Les Ombres

Address: 27, quai Branly

Next to the Eiffel Tower, the Quai Branly Museum has been delighting Parisians and tourists for more than ten years. Those wishing to experience the art and culture of the peoples of Africa, Asia, America and Oceania are welcome in an unusual building designed by the star of French architecture, Jean Nouvel. A pleasant addition or continuation of a visit to the museum will be lunch or dinner at the Les Ombres restaurant, from the terrace of which the “factory chimney” can be seen in full view - this is what opponents of the tower called it at the end of the 19th century. The dishes look appetizing and impressive. The menu has a lot of meat, foie gras in all forms, risotto with black rice and frog legs. The dessert menu doesn't disappoint either.

L'Oiseau Blanc

Address: 19, avenue Kleber

A step away from the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees, the luxurious five-star hotel The Peninsula opened on Avenue Kleber a few years ago. On the roof-terrace of the hotel there is a panoramic restaurant “White Bird” with an excellent view of the main Parisian attractions and, of course, the Eiffel Tower. The name of the restaurant refers not to ornithology, but to aviation. Everything from the dishes to the real motorized plane mounted on the roof reminds us of the romantic attempt of two French pilots in 1927 to cross the Atlantic Ocean in a light biplane, the White Bird. The plane was not destined to fly to New York. What happened to him is a mystery that has not yet been revealed. Over the course of several years, the restaurant has collected a lot of rave reviews. Tasty, subtle, beautiful. The map changes depending on the season. Among desserts, the apple-bergamot dessert with an airy sponge cake and the name “Le Nuage”, that is, “the cloud,” is popular.

La Maison Blanche

Address: 15, avenue Montaigne

The White House restaurant - that's how its name is translated - "climbed" onto the roof of the Champs-Elysees Theater, where Igor Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring" was booed on a May evening in 1913. The audience screamed and stomped, the dancers behind the scenes trembled and cried. Only Diaghilev was pleased - the scandal would only fuel interest in Russian ballets. Today, the audience in the theater no longer rages, but after the performance they go to have dinner and discuss what they saw at the restaurant on the roof. “La Maison Blanche” is a respectable establishment, the cuisine is French with an emphasis on delicacies, the presentation is elegant, and the prices are appropriate. Still, it is no coincidence that the restaurant is located in the “golden triangle” of Paris.

Panoramic restaurants in Paris

Not everyone thinks when booking a table in a restaurant at the Eiffel Tower that it is practically impossible to see the tower itself from the restaurant windows. Or, if you meet the Parisian sunrise in Montmartre, the Eiffel Tower, built in the west of the French capital, will also not necessarily be in your field of vision. At the same time, the tower is not the whole city, but the whole city is right at your feet if you have lunch or dinner in one of the panoramic restaurants in Paris. By the way, the cuisine in such establishments is usually also excellent!

Le Jules Verne

Address: Avenue Gustave Eiffel

Dinner at this restaurant is booked several months in advance not only by lovers of gastronomic restaurants, but also by those who want to get to the Eiffel Tower without a queue. Indeed, a special elevator only for restaurant visitors quickly takes you to the second level of the tower. No matter what table the head waiter seats you at, you are sure to enjoy the contemplation of Paris. The kitchen doesn't disappoint either. Professional chef and talented businessman Alain Dukas has been receiving a well-deserved Michelin star for several years now. The menu includes French cuisine elegantly prepared by a professional team. The waiters of Jules Verne have seen a lot of marriage proposals in their time - this is one of the most popular places to present the coveted black box.

La Tour d'Argent

Address: 17, quai de la Tournelle

1582 is not the altitude at which the Silver Tower restaurant is located, but the year of its birth. An important place for French culinary history - the oldest restaurant in Paris and one of the oldest in the country. The view from the wall-wide windows is divine in every sense - over the Ile de la Cité and Notre Dame Cathedral. Emperor Alexander II, who visited Paris in 1867, was treated to young lamb here; John Kennedy, Boris Yeltsin, Maya Plisetskaya and Rodion Shchedrin were fed the signature duck. The list of world celebrities who visited the Silver Tower is endless. But the restaurant has only one star in the important Michelin guide. The second one was lost 10 years ago and they are still trying to get it back without success. Despite the star loss, the prices are sky-high. You can try suckling pig for 138 euros, a salad of langoustines seasoned with sea urchins - for only 82 euros. There is a dress code: no sportswear, men are expected to wear jackets. Visitors without a jacket will be offered to temporarily dress up with jackets from the establishment’s collection.

Terrass Hotel

Address: 12-14 rue Joseph de Maistre

If your feet have taken you to one of the most beautiful cemeteries in Paris - the Montmartre cemetery, then after an exciting game of “find the grave of a celebrity,” I suggest you drink a glass to the well-being in the next world of the Montmartre dead: Dalida, Vaslav Nijinsky, Alexandre Dumas fils and Francois Truffaut. This can be done on the roof of the hotel next to the cemetery at the intersection of Joseph de Maistre Street and Caulaincourt Street. Take the elevator or walk (127 steps!) to the seventh floor, order a glass of wine or a cocktail - fortunately, the map is replete with variety - and enjoy the spectacle unfolding in front of you. If you look straight ahead, you see the tower and the gray roofs of Haussmannian houses; if you look down, you see the graves of celebrities and neat funeral chapels of the 19th century. You can also have dinner there, but priority is given to hotel clients, so you may easily not get the coveted table.

The Hardware Society

Address: 10, rue Lamarck

Montmartre is Montmartre. A unique Parisian place full of rustic charm, where an Australian cafe has recently settled at the foot of the snow-white Basilica of the Sacred Heart. An ideal place for a long breakfast leading into lunch. The menu harmoniously combines salty and sweet. The main emphasis is on eggs. On weekends, hipsters, local and visiting, who want to brunch, form a long line, discouraging any desire to try poached eggs, drowning in hollandaise sauce with pieces of juicy lobster. If you take a table by the window overlooking the chimneys, from which white smoke often pours out, then consider yourself very lucky.

Restaurant Le Balcon

Address: 221, avenue Jean Jaures

If during your Parisian vacation you decide to go to a concert at the new Philharmonic in the north-east of the capital, then before the concert you can have a snack or a drink at the Le Balcon restaurant. The establishment is located on the sixth floor of the Philharmonic (you can come here not only for the music, but also for the architecture. After all, it is no coincidence that Jean Nouvel is a world famous French architect). The cuisine at Le Balcon is European, the menu changes depending on the season. The choice of dishes is small, but the easier it will be to make a choice. The views open onto the rare greenery of La Villette Park in Paris and the mirrored domed La Geode cinema.

Restaurants in Paris with a view of the Eiffel Tower Rating: ★★★★★ 4.9 based on 71 reviews

5 1

Dine in the heart of Paris at night... When the sun goes down, the 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant transforms into a sophisticated venue for a unique evening. The hostess will greet you and lead you to your table where you will be enveloped in an atmosphere of luxury. Soft light and minimalism will not overshadow the beauty of the city lights. Ultra-modern interior design by Patrick Jouin and a menu of exquisite classic French cuisine will make your evening unforgettable!

Alain Soulard's kitchen

One of the few chefs from Ducasse's team, Alain Soulard was appointed culinary consultant and chef at Le Relais du Parc. In particular, he was responsible for banquets: "I led seminars with the participation of 10 to 350 people. My job was to preserve the spirit of Alain Ducasse's cuisine, even when the volumes were very large." An experience that is now very useful for organizing the kitchen at the 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant.
