Many are familiar with the situation when a high temperature rises during an illness, and the medications taken do not cope or they are not at hand. What first aid methods for such a situation are available in each family? Find out how to properly use vinegar to quickly alleviate the condition of the patient.

How to bring down the temperature with vinegar

Regardless of the endless debate whether wiping with vinegar really helps, the effect of such a folk method exists and is widely used. What causes the temperature to drop? Acetic solution has volatile acids, and therefore, getting on the skin, it begins to evaporate instantly, taking heat with it. Wiping with vinegar at temperatures below 38.5 degrees is not advisable. The body must fight off viruses and bacteria on its own.

Internal organs, directing their energy to resist "dangerous guests", increase the temperature. The one that approaches the mark of 39 is considered critical. From it, the body will receive nothing but harm. Rubbing with vinegar at a temperature will help to quickly cool the surface of the skin and improve well-being. In order for the effect of wiping to manifest itself in a short time, the room where the patient is located must be constantly ventilated for access to fresh cool air. Leave a minimum of clothing on the person so as not to overheat the body.

How to make vinegar solution from temperature for children

For children, wiping with vinegar at elevated temperatures is considered the most reliable, fastest way to reset it to optimal levels. In order not to get burned on delicate children's skin, it is necessary to strictly observe the proportions when preparing the solution. For a child, it is better to use apple, rice, wine vinegar of natural origin. You can use the usual table 9% or 6%. A tablespoon of vinegar is added to half a liter of warm water, the composition is thoroughly mixed and immediately applied.

How to dilute vinegar for wiping at a temperature in adults

During the treatment of an adult, a stronger solution is used. In slightly heated water (this is an important condition in order to avoid a sharp vasoconstriction), 2-3 tablespoons of vinegar are added to a half-liter container. To enhance the effect, you can add 15-20 ml of alcohol or vodka. It is not worth creating a strong concentration, from this the patient's condition can only worsen.

How to wipe a child with vinegar at a temperature

Before rubbing the child with vinegar at a temperature above 38 degrees, all clothes must be removed from him. With a soft cloth or cotton swab dipped in a warm acetic solution that is comfortable for perception, start rubbing. It is desirable to observe the sequence of body parts. When the child is very small, up to three years old, the procedure is limited to the fact that socks soaked in vinegar solution are put on the feet. Keep bedding and clothes dry and change them often.

  • Wiping with vinegar at a temperature in a child, start with the palms and feet.
  • Next, avoiding effort, wipe the entire arms and legs, paying particular attention to the bends of the knees, elbows and armpits, where the blood arteries pass very close. When wetting these places with an acetic solution, the effect comes faster.
  • Finish wiping by running a damp cloth over the back of the baby, neck.
  • You don’t need to put on clothes for the child right away, cover him with a light cotton sheet that will let the air through well.

Rubbing vinegar with an adult at a temperature

It is easier for an adult to bring down a high temperature than for a child. There is less risk of getting a negative reaction to rubbing with vinegar water, as a person can adequately talk about his feelings and well-being. It is important that the antipyretic solution be prepared on the basis of warm water. A sharp drop in temperature indicators can lead to vasoconstriction, which is especially dangerous for hypertensive patients or cause muscle cramps. When wiping an adult, it is desirable to free his body from clothing as much as possible and do without it for some time.

  • Initially, with a cloth moistened with a solution, cool the armpits, elbows and popliteal folds.
  • It will be good if you completely slightly moisten the body with acetic water, not forgetting about the back, chest.
  • If necessary, repeat the procedure no earlier than an hour later.
  • You can not make efforts and do rubbing, the movements should be light.
  • If the temperature is in no hurry to drop, lower it by placing a wet cloth with a solution of water, vinegar and vodka on the patient's forehead, including the temporal part. Moisten the cloth periodically.

When a solution of vinegar to relieve fever is contraindicated

Any folk home methods can not be thoughtlessly put into practice. In some cases, this can be harmful, sometimes irreparable. Consultation with a doctor is required, especially if the issue concerns the health of the child. For such an elementary first aid procedure as rubbing at home at high temperature, there are exceptions and contraindications. Do not ignore them, so as not to aggravate the patient's condition. Before you start wiping with an antipyretic solution, figure out in which cases this should not be done. These are the situations:

  • the patient began to have muscle pain, convulsions, vomiting;
  • the skin is much paler than usual, and the limbs become cold, which indicates vasospasm;
  • the presence on the surface of the skin of any damage, wounds;
  • individual allergic reaction, intolerance to vinegar;
  • the age of the child has not reached three years;
  • the liquid is prepared incorrectly, the concentration exceeds the permissible norm, which can lead to poisoning of the body.

Our ancestors attached great importance to various rituals and believed in dreams, trying to predict or change the future from them, to better understand the present. And indeed, dreams came true in many respects, were prophetic. For example, the meaning of sleep - to wash the floors, always meant cleaning and the arrival of guests soon, which is quite logical: which of the housewives wants to be known as a sloven and dirty?

And supposedly if you perform a magical ceremony and wash the floors with salt, then it will take all the negative energy from the room. We can’t say about the negative, but the salt cleaned the unpainted plank floors perfectly, as well as the absorbed grease from wooden tables and benches.

Sometimes ideological disagreements also arose: is it possible to wash the floors with holy water? And only the intervention of a clergyman reconciled the arguing parties: you can’t wash, you can sprinkle.

Disputes about how to wash the floor properly still arise. This topic is interesting not only for housewives, but also for professional cleaners - employees of clearing companies.

What innovations have appeared recently

What's new about floor cleaning? However, progress has not bypassed this, familiar to every person, action:

  • Various chemicals have appeared that leave behind a pleasant aroma and help to deeply clean the floor and disinfect it;
  • Brooms with mops have also changed: telescopic handles, rotating platforms, various nozzles! What can I say, there are even special scrubbers!

  • And how many types of flooring are now: traditional boards, parquet, linoleum, laminate, cork, stone, plastic! And each coating has its own cleaning method.

Floor cleaning technology

Instructions for cleaning any floor covering necessarily begin with the point:

  1. Sweep and throw away trash. Sweeping always precedes washing.

Advice! To prevent dust from rising into the air when sweeping, soak a brush or broom in water, and then gently shake off the excess. Fine, light dirt will stick to the twigs or bristles, while larger debris will pile up.

Further actions are based on what material covers the floor surface.

Linoleum

This flooring is afraid of aggressive detergents, as well as turpentine, gasoline, ammonia. If any of the listed liquids gets on the linoleum, it should be removed immediately, otherwise whitish, as if faded, spots are provided to you.

Wash linoleum as it gets dirty with a damp cloth. Every three months we advise you to rub it with drying oil and wipe it thoroughly. Thus, the coating will acquire shine, and the softened top layer will last longer.

Parquet

Water consumption for washing the floor covered with unpainted or varnished parquet is minimal: it is washed no more than once or twice a year. They wipe the parquet with a slightly damp cloth dipped in cool water (high temperatures are detrimental to parquet dies and the glue on which they are held). You can add glycerin to the water at the rate of 1 tablespoon per glass of water.

In no case should a bucket of water be placed on the parquet - contact with the liquid should be minimal. This will avoid the appearance of a squeak. Stains and heavy soiling are removed with a soapy solution or a special stain remover.

Good housewives know that after cleaning the parquet must be rubbed with wax or mastic. But if this procedure can be carried out with wax at least every week, then mastic is used no more than once a month. Otherwise, the parquet board, especially the painted one, darkens.

Laminate

Since the laminate is a multilayer material, it does not need excessive moisture: after each wash, it is wiped dry with a dry cloth. For better cleaning of the surface, products recommended by the manufacturer of laminated boards are used.

The laminated protective film, which completely covers the laminate board, protects the floor covering from excess moisture, mechanical damage and pollution. Its integrity is a guarantee of long-term operation of the laminate, so no alkaline compounds are used during cleaning!

If the price of the cleaners on sale does not suit you, you can prepare a solution with your own hands: just dilute a spoonful of 9% table vinegar in five liters of water.

Tile or ceramic tile

Those who are not afraid of water are tiles and ceramic tiles! No wonder they are actively laid out floors in common areas.

In the past, bleach was often used to clean the floor in public toilets or hospitals. Now there are more modern and.

At home, you can save on the purchase of tile cleaners and use ordinary warm soapy water, not forgetting to thoroughly wipe off excess moisture (wet tiles are traumatic). With strong pollution, a soft cloth (rag) soaked in water with ammonia is excellent.

If you decide to buy finished products, carefully read its composition: glossy tiles cannot be cleaned with abrasive powder, as it leaves behind a lot of micro-scratches that increase the wear of the floor covering.

Liquid soap is the enemy of tiles: the fat contained in its composition leaves behind stains that are almost impossible to remove and give the surface a gloss.

painted wood

The painted wooden floor can be washed every day. And although it is better not to abuse water, you should not worry about its excess either - the tree dries perfectly.

All the same ammonia, added to warm water in the proportion of 2 tablespoons per bucket of water, will perfectly cope with any contamination and give the coating a fresh look. To shine, you can wipe the floorboards with a home-made composition: mix denatured alcohol and vegetable oil in equal proportions, and then, when the floor dries, walk over it again with a soft, dry cloth.

It is not worth washing the floors with salt, soda or soap - the top paint layer becomes dull and scratched from this.

Plastic

Washing plastic floors does not give the owners any additional trouble: swept, wiped with a damp cloth and the coating shines clean, like new! Approximately once every six months, in order to avoid ingrained dust, the plastic is covered with a thin layer of water-soluble flooring emulsion.

Plastic is afraid of products containing solvents: gasoline, kerosene, turpentine, acetone and others.

stone floor

Stone is very rarely found as a floor covering in an apartment, much more often - in private houses, mansions, and, almost everywhere, in new shopping and entertainment centers, office buildings. The area in need of cleaning is so large that the same scrubbing machines that were mentioned at the beginning of the article are used to clean the stone floor.

Professional cleaning companies have at their disposal both all the necessary equipment and a range of liquids for the care of the stone floor.

Deep cleaning of the floor and washing the floor is carried out in several stages:

  • A liquid chemical solution is applied to the floor and the rotary machine is cleaned;
  • The waste liquid is collected using a vacuum cleaner;
  • The remaining chemical solution is neutralized and the coating is rinsed again with a clean solution;
  • In order to protect the floor from negative external influences, a polymer coating is applied to it.

The floor cleaned in this way retains its external attractiveness and antistatic properties for a long time.

Summary

As you can see, since the days of our grandmothers, a real revolution has taken place in the technology of mopping. However, many beliefs are still alive. For example, golden or money water for washing the floor, prepared on your own, will attract wealth, good luck and success to the house. And the interpretation of the dream to wash the floors has changed a bit - now it means a quick career advancement.

Of course, it is more economical out of habit to wash the floors with vinegar by hand, but new chemicals and equipment can significantly reduce the time for cleaning. The video in this article will help you understand the range of products on the shelves of hardware stores and make the right choice.

The strongest smells in the calving of household chemicals, irritation and dryness of the skin after washing dishes with one of the popular means - all this inevitably suggests that your own home has become an unsafe place due to the abundance of all kinds of chemicals in it. Willy-nilly, you will remember that there are a lot of folk remedies that you can now buy for a penny, clean everything in the apartment with them to a shine, without suffering from the consequences of interaction with industrial chemistry.

Dishwashing mustard

Few people know, but mustard does an excellent job with greasy dishes, easily and completely cleaning them, leaving no fat on the hands and without harming the skin of the hostess's hands.

In order to make it convenient to wash dishes with mustard powder, you need to pour a small amount of it, for example, onto a tin or plastic lid from a jar, and then dip a damp sponge into it. A little powder will remain on the sponge, which can be used to wash everything from greasy pans and plates to tea and children's dishes.

Mustard powder is perfectly washed off the surface of the dishes and is absolutely harmless not only for humans, but also for the environment.

If hard lumps have formed in the container with mustard powder, you need to pour a little water there, and with the resulting mixture, similar in consistency to sour cream, you can also successfully continue to wash the dishes.

Soda for washing dishes and cleaning the house

Baking soda or sodium bicarbonate is obtained industrially by two chemical reactions between a concentrated solution of sodium chloride and carbon dioxide. Despite the chemical origin, soda is absolutely fire and explosion-proof and non-toxic.

Baking soda is another penny that should be on hand in every kitchen.

If mustard does an excellent job with greasy pans, then soda easily cleans everything you need literally to a shine and creak: from teapots and pots to silverware, from long-unwashed ovens and barbecues to an old refrigerator and tile.

It is also enough to take a little on a damp sponge, only this time on its rough side, and lightly rub the stain on the stove or pan. You will see, the effect will be amazing.

  • from smoky furniture, which is enough to sprinkle with soda and vacuum after a few hours (you can also clean the carpet of unpleasant odors in the same way);
  • from smells in the toilet, in which it is only necessary to leave a small open container with one hundred grams of soda;
  • from the musty smells of old things- they also need to be lightly sprinkled with soda and vacuumed after a while;
  • from stale dish sponges or towels, which need to be soaked in a solution consisting of a drop of detergent, two tablespoons of soda and warm water.

House cleaning vinegar

Vinegar is traditionally obtained through biological synthesis from acetic acid bacteria, obtained in turn from alcohol-containing raw materials. Vinegar has been known since ancient times: the first mention of it is found in the sources of ancient Babylon, where dates were obtained from acetic acid.

Vinegar (6% or 9%) diluted with water is also quite versatile and will help keep your home clean and fresh.

If you mix vinegar with water in a one-to-one ratio and add a little lavender oil for the smell, then you can wipe floors and window sills with this solution, wipe stains in the bathroom or in the kitchen.

With lime stains on the plumbing you can say goodbye if you first pour vinegar on them, and then sprinkle a little soda and leave it like that for a while. After them, it will be easy to use a sponge or brush.

With a solution of 9% vinegar with water in a ratio of one to five, you can easily wash the dirtiest windows by simply applying the product to the glass and then wiping it with paper (for example, newspaper) or a clean rag.

Hydrogen peroxide for fabric bleaching

Hydrogen peroxide can only be explosive in concentrated form. But due to its excellent solubility in water, ether and alcohol, it has been successfully used for a long time, including in the household, and does not pose any threat.

Many people notice how white things turn gray or yellow over time, either from washing in a washing machine, or from modern powders and bleaches. One way or another, at some point it becomes clear that the white blouse has ceased to be such.

This pressing problem is easily solved by soaking the laundry for some 15 minutes in a hydrogen peroxide solution (add one teaspoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide to two liters of water). By mixing white linen and clothes every 5 minutes, it is very easy to obtain uniform whitening without much effort and expense.

If there is no hydrogen peroxide in the house, then a solution of potassium permanganate or ammonia can come to the rescue. A small amount of potassium permanganate (literally half a teaspoon) must be diluted with washing powder (about 200 grams) in hot water, put grayed clean linen there and leave to cool. After the rinsed items dry, their color will noticeably change.

If linen or cotton clothes have lost their former whiteness, then you should hold them for two to three hours in a solution of ammonia (6 tablespoons per 10 liters of water).

Lemon for cleaning the apartment

Lemon is distinguished by the fact that, along with the strong cleansing properties of its sour juice, it also has a pleasant natural smell. It is not for nothing that industrially produced household chemicals are often flavored with the smell of lemon.

Due to its unique properties, lemon can help in several cases at once:

  • To clean the microwave oven.

There are always great difficulties when trying to put the microwave in order from the inside. An elementary recipe for a solution of lemon juice and water in proportions of 3 tablespoons per 400 ml can come to the rescue. If you put the open container with this solution in the microwave at the highest power for 10 minutes to heat up, then at the end it remains only to wipe the oven inside with a cloth to completely.

  • Lemon as a natural air freshener.

By cutting a lemon in half and leaving it so close to, for example, a cat litter box, you can henceforth forget about the source of an unpleasant odor.

  • With limescale on the faucet A slice of lemon would also work great.

It is enough to wipe the mixer with lemon, and then fix the result with a dry cloth or sponge.

Other folk remedies for cleaning the house

There are other folk recipes for using natural and affordable products for effective cleaning in the house:

  • Salt copes well with blockages in pipes: for this you need to fill it into a pipe and pour hot boiling water on top.
  • A mixture of ammonia and soap polishes well.
  • And the mirror will sparkle with cleanliness if you wipe its surface a mixture of vinegar and water in proportions one to one.
  • From divorces to help and strong tea. After wiping the mirrors with a sponge dipped in strong tea, you later need to polish them with a dry cloth.
  • Crystal will shine again if you soak it in a solution tea and vinegar in proportions of two to one.
