Today, another dish in the rubric - easy recipes. I will share with you a very simple, interesting and delicious dish,
which will appeal to adults and children.
Quiche Loren, or chicken pie, perfect as a second course, done quickly, no complicated
does not require food, everything that is needed for him, most often any housewife has in the refrigerator.

Quiche Loren with chicken - ingredients

The chicken pie recipe (because quiche Lauren is essentially an open pie) is very simple and easy to make.

For him you will need:

Flour - 200g
Eggs - 3-4 pcs
Cream - 200-300 gr
pinch of salt
Cheese - 100-150 gr
Chicken breast - 1 large or 2 small
Tomatoes - a couple of pieces

Optionally, you can add bell peppers, mushrooms, or replace the chicken with ham or bacon.
Traditional Kish Loren is made with bacon. You can add broccoli, or other vegetables, when you cook Quiche - there is room for fantasy.
My household is, unfortunately, terrible conservatives, so I have to restrain myself and make do with simple and understandable products.

In order to make quiche (chicken pie), you first need to make puff pastry.
It does not contain any difficulties and I love it very much. It is this dough that goes for tartlets,
for tarte tatin (I will write about it later, tart tatin with mango is just a delight)

Chopped puff pastry recipe:

Butter (preferably salted), pre-put in the freezer.
We take out and rub on a grater 100 gr.

You can simply cut into pieces, cover with flour and start rubbing with your hands.
It is necessary as if to rub the oil into the flour, then layers will appear.

in between, add 1 egg and a couple of tablespoons of ice water.
Put the water in the freezer for half an hour before cooking.

Thus, knead the dough into a ball and put it in the refrigerator, covering the plate with a towel

The dough should not crumble. Must be plastic. If it crumbles, add a little more water.

Quiche with chicken - stuffing

Before starting the whole process, you need to boil a large or a couple of small skinless chicken breasts.
I usually combine this with making soup, in any case, the broth should not be wasted, and if you do not need it, just freeze it, it will come in handy later.

In the meantime, the dough has already cooled and we take it out and carefully roll it out

In the kitchen, I adhere to the principle of simplification in everything, so I usually do not roll out chopped puff pastry,
(since it tends to tear), but just put the dough in a mold (previously greased with butter and sprinkled with flour)
And I flatten the dough already there with my fingers.
Note! The dough should be quite thick, without holes, otherwise the cream will flow out. But even if such an embarrassment happens, (it happened to me), it's okay.
Let the cake cool, it will harden and everything will be ok.

You should have a dough with high sides. The form must be taken glass or ceramic,
silicone is not suitable for this purpose.

Prick the rolled out dough with a fork to keep it from rising.
We put a sheet of baking paper on top of it and pour the load.

As a load for baking, I usually use lentils or other large cereals.
Somewhere special balls are sold, but I have never been interested in this, and this option suits me.

We put the form with the dough in a preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes at 180 gr.

In the meantime, break 2 eggs into a bowl, add cream and shake well with a whisk.
Add salt and pepper to taste.

Quiche with chicken - the final stage

After 15 minutes, we take out the form with the future pie and remove the load.
Bake in the oven for another 10 minutes.
Please note that our ovens may vary and you should check the condition of the test.

If it is very golden in color and starts to burn, take it out, reduce the temperature.

Sprinkle the form with the dough with cheese, lay out the breast, tomatoes and peppers, pour the cream with eggs and cheese again on top.

When you're baking French Quiche Lauren, you can't have too much cheese.
In my opinion, there is never a lot of cheese in baking :)

We put the chicken pie in the oven for another 15-20 minutes at 200 degrees.

Keep an eye on Quiche when you bake it for the first time.
If your pie dough is well baked, then you just need to bake the ready-made ingredients.
When the cheese is golden on top, you can take it out.

Quiche with chicken is a great option as a second course, cold or hot appetizer,
it is juicy, healthy, it can be given to children, for them you can change the filling for healthy vegetables, fish.

The fattest and most high-calorie quiche is Quiche Loren with bacon and fried onions. Delicious, but hard

The most tender Kish Loren - with salmon or trout. I also add greens there, and it turns out very tasty,
easy and magical.

For children, Kish Loren with broccoli and other vegetables is suitable - in such a tricky form, they can be pushed
any vegetables they don't even eat just like that.

Diet - this is of course with chicken breast.

As I said, the field for experimenting with Quiche is huge. You can make it with tuna or potatoes,
and also giblets (hearts + chicken liver), you can make sweet, but that's another story.

The beauty of this pie is that it is very tasty both cold and hot.
It is easy to cut, you can take it with you on the road, to work, even one piece is a very satisfying snack.
I would eat quiche every day, I like it very much.
