Vegetable stew for a one-year-old child with buckwheat and turkey. Vegetable stew for children: ingredients and recipes

The preparation stage for this dish is to peel the potatoes. Since the potatoes were young, you can simply scrape them. Then cut the potatoes into small pieces, add water and set to cook on the fire (less water is needed than for regular boiling of potatoes).

While the potatoes are cooking, peel and chop the zucchini, carrots and bell peppers. I cut the carrots into half rings. Cut the zucchini lengthwise into 4 pieces and cut into cubes. I cut half of the bell pepper lengthwise into 5-6 pieces, and then cut it into centimeter pieces. Since the carrots are young, they cook quickly, so you can add them after the potatoes. I poured in the peppers, carrots and zucchini 10 minutes after the potatoes boiled.

Meanwhile, peel and cut half a tomato into small pieces on a board (if the tomato is small, you need to take a whole one). Also wash, separate from the stems and finely chop the dill.

Now add the tomato to the pan with vegetables (do this 10 minutes before the end of cooking). Add a piece of butter to the stew and salt to taste. I add salt halfway through cooking so that the vegetables are evenly coated with salt. Stir and continue cooking.

Three minutes before the end of cooking the children's vegetable stew, add country sour cream and finely chopped dill to the pan. The water should almost boil away. The stew has the consistency of a thick soup. Children's dinner is ready! Bon appetit!

In general, vegetable stew for a one-year-old child is not an easy thing. There are many allergenic foods that one-year-olds should absolutely not be given.

I came up with this vegetable stew for my daughter myself - I just added a little buckwheat to the vegetables one day. Buckwheat is a very useful product for hematopoiesis, especially for children.

Ingredients:

  • Turkey – 200 gr
  • Zucchini - 1 piece
  • Onion - 1 piece
  • Brussels sprouts - 10-12 pcs.
  • Buckwheat – 30 g

Preparing vegetable stew:

1. Boil the turkey: cook the fillet for 20 minutes, drain the first broth, pour in cold water and cook for another 30 minutes. Take the meat out to cool.

2. Peel the zucchini and cut into small cubes. Wash the buckwheat and chop the onion. Cut the Brussels sprouts into 4 pieces each.

3. Add buckwheat and onions to the broth for vegetable stew and cook until the cereal is ready.

4. Finely chop the turkey.

5. Place turkey, cabbage and zucchini in a pan.

6. Simmer our children's vegetable stew for 5-7 minutes and turn off.

7. Bon appetit to your one-year-old baby! =)

Best regards, Natalie

Finely chop the onion and throw it into the pan.

Cover with a lid. Let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.

The stew turns out very bright. For older children and adults, the stew can be consumed as is.

A healthy dinner for your child is ready.

  3. Bon appetit!

The child's body especially needs proper and healthy nutrition, which should be as balanced as possible and contain a large amount of vitamins. It is very important that your child eats a portion of vegetables and fruits every day, depending on his age. After all, these products, in addition to containing vital vitamins, macro- and microelements, also contain fiber, which helps to properly regulate the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract and promotes regular bowel movements, which is very important. Because the body of babies is very susceptible and delicate, and improper stool can lead to complex diseases.

You can start introducing complementary foods to your baby as early as 4-5 months, depending on the state of his health and his physical development. But in any case, it would be better to consult with the observing pediatrician. For the first complementary foods, the simplest vegetables with a not pronounced taste and color are suitable. It's better to start with zucchini. They can be given as early as 4.5 months. Following them, you can give cauliflower. A little later (6-7 months) potatoes and then carrots. Just remember that it can cause allergies, so don’t combine it with other products first.

The proposed recipe for stew can be given to children from the age of seven months, but only if these products have previously been given separately to eliminate the risk of allergies. For small allergy sufferers, it is better to replace carrots with zucchini. Instead of carrots, you can use pumpkin, it is tolerated almost the same.

This dish is an excellent option for a children's menu. Because it is prepared in a gentle way - the vegetables are not fried, but simply stewed. If your baby has any digestive problems, you can simply boil all the ingredients. This will be even more useful.

For the little ones, the vegetables will need to be chopped. The fastest way to do this is with a blender. But if you don’t have it on hand, then you can use old “grandmother’s” methods. An ordinary masher (as for making purees) or a meat grinder will help you with this. But it’s better to scroll it twice so that there are no lumps. The surest way is to rub all the vegetables through a sieve. Since the portion needed is small, it won’t take much time.

For an older child, you don’t need to chop the stew, just cut the vegetables into smaller sizes before cooking so that it’s convenient for him to put them in his mouth.

Children's vegetable stew with chicken - recipe with photo:

1 step. Let's start with the potatoes, we peel them as usual, then wash them and cut them into small pieces. Then we place the potatoes in a pan, fill it with water so that it takes up a third of the pan, and send it to cook.

Step 2. Following the potatoes, take the chicken breast, wash it, trim off all excess and cut into small pieces. We send the chicken to the potatoes, wait until everything boils, and carefully remove the boiling foam from the surface of the water.

Step 3. Next we need one carrot. We clean it, wash it and cut it into not very thin circles. Place the carrots in the pan with the potatoes and chicken.

Step 4 Then we take the onion, peel it and cut half of the onion into fairly large, identical pieces. We also add the onion to the pan.

Step 5 Young zucchini, with still unripe seeds, is washed, peeled and cut into cubes. Place in a saucepan.

Step 6 Next, add one tablespoon of natural tomato paste to the baby vegetable stew and mix everything well. You can also replace tomato paste with natural tomato juice or fresh tomatoes; to do this, you must first rinse them with boiling water, remove the skin and chop them with a knife, but we are preparing our stew in the winter, so we didn’t have fresh tomatoes, we had to use tomato pasta.

Step 7 After this, salt the stew and add dried or fresh dill to it, and cook until tender for one hour.
