This dish became popular thanks to the McDonald's restaurant chain, but we want to tell you how to cook nuggets at home - believe me, you will get it hundreds of times better and tastier. After all, the delicious food has already acquired many variations and varieties.

The main secret of a successful dish is that before frying, the fillet pieces need to be soaked for some time in the marinade - then they will eventually turn out juicy. The rest of the process will only take a few minutes.

Ruddy and crispy nuggets will decorate any holiday table. For example, they can be served in a “duet” with the “Snake” salad for the New Year 2013. However, they are good anyway.

How to make crispy chicken nuggets: the classic version

  • Products: chicken fillet – 500 g, soy sauce – 50 g, garlic – 2-3 cloves, egg – 1 pc., vegetable oil for frying, breadcrumbs, salt to taste.
  • Preparation: Chicken fillet is washed with cold water and dried with a napkin. The garlic is passed through a press and rubbed onto the meat on all sides. After this, pour soy sauce over the chicken and leave for 20 minutes, after which you can cut the meat into small pieces. All that remains is to dip each nugget in an egg beaten with salt, roll in breadcrumbs and fry in heated vegetable oil.

    How to cook chicken nuggets with cheese

  • Products: chicken fillet or breast – 500 g, egg – 1-2 pcs., hard Parmesan cheese – 250 g, flour – 120 g, ground black pepper to taste, vegetable oil.
  • Preparation: Chicken breast or fillet is cut into oblong pieces, cutting the meat across the grain. The cheese is grated on a coarse grater. Beat the egg in a bowl. Flour is mixed with black pepper. You can add a little salt to it, but it is very important to observe the measure, since cheese most often contains salt in sufficient quantities. The chicken pieces must first be rolled in flour with spices, then dipped in a beaten egg, and finally breaded again - this time in grated cheese. They are fried in hot oil, maintaining medium heat on the stove. The cheese crust on the nuggets should be light and golden.

    Delicious turkey nuggets recipe

  • Products: turkey fillet - 500 g, cream - 100 g, flour - 1/3 cup, breadcrumbs - 50 g, eggs - 2 pcs., salt and ground black pepper - to taste, vegetable oil.
  • Preparation: The turkey fillet, washed and dried with a napkin, is cut into pieces of the desired size. The meat is sprinkled with salt and pepper, poured with cream and allowed to “marinate” for three hours. Pour the beaten egg into a wide bowl or plate. In another bowl, mix breadcrumbs with flour. Line a baking tray with parchment paper (it is sold in hardware stores under the name “baking paper”). Each piece of turkey fillet is dipped in a beaten egg and then breaded in a flour-crumb mixture. The meat is laid out on a baking sheet and fried in the oven at 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes on each side.

    How to fry nuggets with sesame seeds

  • Products: chicken fillet – 500 g, soy sauce – 2 tbsp. spoons, dry white wine - 3 tbsp. spoons, olive oil - 2 tbsp. spoons, chopped fresh ginger root - 1 teaspoon, egg - 1 pc., sesame seeds - 2 tbsp. spoons, breadcrumbs - 50 g.
  • Preparation: A marinade is prepared from olive oil, ginger, white wine and soy sauce. Season it with beaten egg. Immerse the prepared chicken pieces in the marinade and place in the refrigerator for 1.5-2 hours. Sesame seeds are mixed with breadcrumbs. You will need to roll the nuggets in this mixture after they have been marinated, place them on a greased baking sheet and bake in the oven at 200 degrees. Baking time is usually 20 minutes.

    Potato nuggets with cheese

  • Products: ready-made mashed potatoes - 1.5 cups, cheddar cheese - 200 g, chopped fresh parsley or celery - 1 teaspoon, salt and black pepper to taste, butter - 20 g, breadcrumbs.
  • Preparation: mashed potatoes are mixed with chopped herbs and spices, balls the size of a walnut are rolled out of it, a small piece of cheddar cheese is placed in the middle of each ball and slightly flattened. Carefully place the nuggets into a plate with breadcrumbs and turn them over so that the breadcrumbs stick to the potato mixture on all sides.   • Products: fillet of any sea fish - 500 g, corn flakes - 0.5 cups, salt and ground black pepper to taste, vegetable oil.
  • Preparation: Excess moisture is removed from pieces of fish with paper napkins, and the fillets are sprinkled with salt and pepper. Allow the fish to “settle” for 15 minutes so that it is saturated with salt and pepper. Each piece is coated on all sides with vegetable oil and rolled in corn flakes. Place the prepared fish fillets on an oiled baking sheet and place in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 20 minutes.

    How to make nugget sauce

    It is customary to serve nuggets with some kind of spicy sauce. Here, too, there are options for every taste.

    Here are just a few popular examples:

  • mayonnaise and ketchup in a 1:1 combination plus a few drops of lemon juice;
  • 1 teaspoon each of mustard powder, cold water, honey plus 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise;
  • 1 tbsp. spoon of soy sauce, 2 tbsp. spoons of mayonnaise and the same amount of ready-made mustard (you can add a little curry if desired);
  • 3 cloves of garlic, 1 raw yolk, 100 ml of olive oil and the juice of a quarter of a lemon (mix everything and season with chopped garlic).

    Before preparing the dressing for chicken nuggets, it is worth understanding the conditions for choosing ingredients. First of all, this applies to ketchup: it should not contain any additional components, among which garlic, onion, and bell pepper are most often found.

    The ideal product for the sauce is classic tomato ketchup without additives, which has a uniform structure and fluid consistency.

    Next on the list is onions; It is best to use red onions, which have a sweetish flavor and are usually less hot. Soy sauce, like ketchup, should be classic, without flavorings or other additional ingredients.

    Sometimes it is possible to replace potato starch with wheat flour. This manipulation will not affect the result in any way, but for a better effect it is recommended to increase the volume of flour from one spoon to two.

    1. Onions need to be peeled and finely chopped. Ginger root (about 1.5–2 centimeters in size) is peeled and grated on a fine grater. It is recommended to pass the garlic through a garlic press. At this time, you can leave a frying pan with vegetable oil on the stove to heat it up. When the oil warms up, the chopped products are laid out in it: first onions and ginger, and after 3-4 minutes - garlic. Spices are sautéed for 5–7 minutes.
    2. Vinegar is poured into a separate saucepan, into which granulated sugar is poured. The mixture is heated and brought to a boil. After this, ketchup and soy sauce are added to it. Everything is thoroughly stirred and brought to a boil again. At this stage, the workpiece can be peppered to taste.
    3. When the liquid base boils, a mixture of onions, garlic and ginger is poured into it. The sauce for the chicken pieces is mixed, then starch is added to it, previously dissolved in a tablespoon of cold water. Stir everything again and simmer over low heat for several minutes until thickened. The finished sauce is removed from the heat, cooled slightly, and then sent to a blender, where it is whipped until smooth.

    Nugget sauce according to the recipe presented above is served cold with freshly cooked chicken appetizer. You can store the finished sauce for 5–7 days in a jar with a tight-fitting lid.

    half a lemon;

    Product composition
    two teaspoons of potato starch;
    50 milliliters of milk;
    one glass of cream of any fat content;
    50 grams of hard cheese;
    salt and ground black pepper - to taste.
    Step-by-step cooking process

    If possible, prepare delicious homemade cream of any fat content in advance: especially since it is very easy and quick to do.
    Two teaspoons of potato starch must first be soaked in 50 milliliters of milk.
    Pour the cream into a saucepan, put it on the fire and bring the contents to a boil.
    Immediately add the finely grated cheese into the cream. Only those varieties that melt well are suitable.
    Add milk and starch to the boiling cream mixture and, without ceasing to stir, bring the sauce to a thick consistency.
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
    Before serving, the liquid cheese seasoning must be cooled.

    Sweet and sour seasoning based on soy sauce goes well not only with nuggets, but also with fried chicken wings.

    Product composition
    40 milliliters of refined vegetable oil;
    one medium onion;
    3 cloves of garlic;
    one tablespoon of grated ginger;
    60 milliliters 6% vinegar;
    90 grams of granulated sugar;
    two tablespoons of soy sauce;
    one tablespoon of potato starch;
    half a glass of tomato paste.
    Step-by-step cooking process

    Pour refined vegetable oil into a frying pan, heat it and add finely chopped onion, minced garlic and finely grated ginger.
    Stir and saute over medium heat for about 10 minutes until they become soft.
    At the same time, pour vinegar into the saucepan, add granulated sugar, soy sauce and starch. Mix the contents, put the saucepan on the fire and bring to a boil.
    After boiling, add the tomato paste to the saucepan and bring to a boil again.
    When the mixture boils, add the fried vegetables. Stir, bring to a boil, turn off the heat.
    Let the sauce cool and you can serve it.
    This seasoning goes well with perfect oven-fried chicken wings.

    Cream sauce recipe (with sour cream)
    Even gourmets will enjoy the delicate creamy sauce with spicy Dijon mustard grains. It turns out so tasty that you can serve it not only with nuggets, but also with French fries and other dishes.

    150 grams of cream cheese;
    50 milliliters of sour cream with a fat content of 20% or more;
    a tablespoon of Dijon mustard;
    3 cloves of garlic;

    Place the cream cheese in a bowl, mash it with a fork and add sour cream.
    Then we add a tablespoon of Dijon mustard and three cloves of garlic, passed through a press. Mix everything thoroughly.
    Salt the sauce to taste.
    If desired, you can also add any greens, finely chopped, to your taste: basil, dill, parsley. The taste of the sauce will become even more interesting.

    Sweet and sour sauce is incredibly delicious with chicken. My very first memory of McDuck (horror, horror!!! :)))), when it first appeared here, is nuggets with sweet and sour sauce :)

    Today I’ll give recipes for both, but it turns out differently, tastier and more homemade! ;) and healthier, although the dish is not dietary, of course :))

    Nuggets are easy to prepare : take 1 kg of chicken fillet, rub with salt and pepper and leave for several hours (ideally overnight), then cut into pieces. Prepare the batter according to the recipe from here, roll in breadcrumbs (I make them myself by leaving a few pieces of bread on the kitchen counter overnight, and the next day beating them in a bag with a meat mallet). Place on a greased baking sheet and bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20 minutes. The nuggets turn out juicy, tender and very tasty!

    And now I will tell you about this wonderful sweet and sour sauce , which I am strictly forbidden to cook, since I start eating it with spoons)))

    Ingredients

    • 1 onion
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • 1 small ginger root (I had a small piece about 1.5cm long)
    • 150ml ketchup (I have 140g tomato paste)
    • 100ml vinegar (use 5%)
    • 150g sugar
    • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
    • 2 tbsp. flour (preferably 1 tbsp starch)
    • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil

    Preparation

    Chop the onion, garlic (finely chop) and ginger root (grate on a fine grater). Sauté with vegetable oil.

    Separately, boil vinegar and sugar.

    Add pasta and soy sauce.

    Bring to a boil and combine with onion, garlic and ginger.

    Add starch (or flour) and cook until thickened. Strain through a sieve and cool! (I spread the remaining onions with garlic and ginger on bread - delicious!)

    The sauce itself is amazing - sweet and sour, with a hint of ginger and spices! The only thing is that I had 9% vinegar, it was too much for me, especially when it was hot. Therefore, I advise you to take less %;) Although store-bought ones also contain a lot of vinegar, you can call this a feature of the sauce. Nevertheless, I reduced that sauce with a nugget, a piece of bread, and a spoon in a bowl and reduced it (and not only me):)))
