Appetizer of crab sticks with squid carcasses

Squid and crab sticks are perfectly combined products; the usual combination of crab salad in a squid carcass gives it a new unusual taste. This dish is baked in the oven and served hot, which makes it even more unusual. Despite the fact that it is served hot, the taste does not become worse when cold and it is quite possible to serve it cooled, as a cold appetizer.

Appetizer of crab sticks with squid carcasses

To prepare a snack in a squid carcass you will need:

  • Crab sticks – 100 g;
  • Squid carcass – 4 pieces, not very large;
  • “Dutch” cheese – 100 g;
  • Boiled rice – 100 g;
  • Egg - 3 pieces;
  • Mayonnaise – 4 level tablespoons.

Let's start cooking:

Step 1. Remove the skin and entrails from the carcasses if you bought them unpeeled. Place water in a saucepan to boil, bring to a boil, add a little salt to the water. Place the carcasses in boiling water, boil them for no more than 1 minute, if you cook longer they will become tougher. Remove the carcasses from the boiling water and let them cool.

Step 2. Cut the crab sticks into small cubes.

Step 3. Hard boil the eggs and cool them in cold water. Grate the eggs onto a coarse grater.

Step 4. It is best to grate the cheese using the finest grater. Add mayonnaise to the cheese and mix well, this will make it easier to distribute the cheese in the filling.

Step 5. Now take the carcasses and fill them well with the filling. Place the carcasses filled with filling on a baking sheet covered with foil greased with vegetable oil. You can pour mayonnaise on top of the carcasses.

Step 6. Place the baking sheet in the oven, preheated to 180°, let them bake there for 10, maximum 15 minutes.

Step 7. Remove the carcasses from the oven and cut them into pieces.

Serve the chopped carcasses with stuffing on the table.

Cheese roll with crab sticks

This is an incredibly simple dish, with just two ingredients. But the taste is not so simple, these are just incredibly tasty rolls. If you are a lover of cheese and crab sticks, then these rolls will delight you.

Cheese roll with crab sticks

To make cheese rolls you will need:

  • “Dutch” cheese – 400 g;
  • Crab sticks – 400 g.

Let's start cooking:

Step 1. The cheese needs to be cut into small cubes, or grated, you can chop it even finer, the size of the cheese here plays a role only in the speed of its melting. Place the cheese in a plastic bag; choose a larger bag size. This bag will need to be packed into several more bags to prevent boiling water from getting inside.

Step 2. Now put a pot of water on the fire. As soon as your water boils, place the bag of cheese in it. Let it simmer there for 25-30 minutes, during which time your cheese in the bag will melt.

Step 3. While the cheese is melting, you need to prepare the crab sticks.Crab sticks just need to be cut into slices along the stick.

Step 4. When it's time to take out the cheese, do everything as quickly as possible.

  1. The cheese will need to be unpacked from the bags, placed on cling film, and covered with another piece of film on top. You can roll it out in the same bag in which it boiled, if it is large enough.
  2. Now quickly roll out the cheese into a layer as thin as possible. In order for the cheese to remain soft longer, it is best to lay it on a warm surface; you can, for example, moisten a towel with hot water, wring it out and put it on the table and roll out the cheese on it.

Step 5. Now just as quickly place the crab sticks on the cheese.

Step 6. Roll the layer of cheese with crab sticks into a roll. Wrap the roll in cling film and place in the refrigerator to harden.

Step 7. After the roll has hardened, cut it into pieces, place on a plate and serve.

This roll can be prepared with any other filling. It all depends on your taste and imagination!

Crab sticks with cheese and egg

This easy and quick snack option made from a small number of ingredients will decorate any holiday table. To make the dish tasty, buy high-quality crab sticks from a trusted brand. The simplest thing you can do is stuff them with cheese and egg.

Ingredients:

  • crab sticks 240 g (10 pcs.)
  • chicken egg 1 pc.
  • hard cheese (Dutch, Russian, sour cream) 100 g
  • garlic 2 cloves
  • mayonnaise “Provencal” 3-4 tbsp. l.
  • small salt pinch
  • fresh parsleya few sprigs
  • lettuce leaves for serving 3-4 pcs.

Cooking method:

  1. First, boil the egg for the filling. Place the egg in a ladle of cold water. Place the ladle on medium heat. After the egg boils, boil it for 9-10 minutes. Then pour boiling water from the ladle and pour cold water over the egg so that it cools completely. Peel the egg and grate it on a fine grater
  2. We will also grate a piece of hard cheese. It is better to grind it on a fine grater so that the filling is homogeneous and tender. Then it will be more convenient to stuff crab sticks.
  3. Mix grated boiled egg and hard cheese. Add two cloves of garlic, passed through a press and Provencal mayonnaise.
  4. Add a little salt to the filling and mix until smooth and thick. If desired, you can add a pinch of ground black pepper to the filling to give it a little heat.
  5. Let's clean them from the packaging. Now we need to carefully unwrap the crab sticks so that they can be stuffed. This can be done in several ways:
  6. The crab sticks must be thawed first; you can even take them out of the refrigerator the night before. Ideally they should be at room temperature. Thawed sticks need to be squeezed a little to find the fold from which to begin unfolding them.
  7. If the sticks don't unfold well or you don't have time to defrost for a long time, the crab sticks can be immersed in hot water for 30 seconds. The sticks will become more elastic and unfold easily.
  8. You can also slightly heat the crab sticks over steam. The last outer layer will be slightly scalded and will easily separate from the stick.

  11. Roll the crab sticks coated with the filling back so that the red stripe on the stick is on the outside.
