Now we need to wrap our dough around our dough.

For the nose and eyebrows, add more dough.

The dog's mouth will be open, so we need to make a hole in the dough and form a mouth. Select the nose.

Use a stack to draw the details of the face: eyebrows, eyes (here they are closed on the dog)

We make folds along the body of the dog.

Now we need to make the ears. Roll out a small piece of dough and cut out oval ears from it.

We form the front legs of our dog, make toes and marigolds.

Let's work with the hind legs and give them the desired shape.

Now let's take care of the tail. Let's make a small sausage out of the dough and roll it out so that one end becomes thinner. We stick the tail to the desired place and make a small fold near it. Let's dry our.

Once upon a time I lived in the forest (kind, smart, loyal. Alone, alone. She was bored. I wanted to find a friend for the dog. A friend who would not be afraid of anyone.

Met (kind, smart, loyal a hare in the forest and says to him:

Come on, bunny, be friends with you, live together!

“Come on,” the bunny agreed.

In the evening they found a place to stay for the night and went to bed. At night a mouse ran past them, (kind, smart, loyal I heard a rustling sound and how it jumped up and barked loudly. The hare woke up in fright, his ears shaking from fear.

Why are you barking? - speaks dog. “When the wolf hears it, he’ll come here and eat us.”

“This is an unimportant friend,” I thought (kind, smart, loyal. - He's afraid of the wolf. But the wolf is probably not afraid of anyone.”

In the morning I said goodbye (kind, smart, loyal with the hare and went to look for the wolf. I met him in a remote ravine and speaks:

Come on, wolf, be friends with you, live together!

Well! - the wolf answers. - It will be more fun together.

At night they went to bed. A frog jumped past (kind, smart, loyal I heard her jump up and bark loudly. The wolf woke up in fright and let's scold dog:

Oh, you are so, so so! The bear will hear your barking, come here and tear us apart.

“And the wolf is afraid,” I thought (kind, smart, loyal. “It’s better for me to make friends with a bear.”

She went to the bear:

Bear-hero, let's be friends and live together!

Okay, says the bear. - Come to my den.

And at night the dog heard, as he was already crawling past the den, she jumped up and barked. The bear got scared and well scolded dog:

Stop doing that! A man will come and skin us.

“Gee! - thinks (kind, smart, loyal. “And this one turned out to be cowardly.”

She ran away from the bear and went to person:

Man, let's be friends and live together!

The man agreed and fed dog, built a warm kennel for her near his hut. At night the dog barks, guards the house. And the person does not scold her for this - he says thank you.

Since then (kind, smart, loyal and man live together.

Among handicraft lovers, salt dough has long been successfully used as a material for creating flat and three-dimensional sculptures. In general, modeling is traditionally loved by probably all children from a very early age, and many creatively oriented adults are not averse to working with plasticine. However, for a number of reasons, plasticine is not always suitable for children, and for children who can swallow it, it is generally undesirable, unless under the supervision of adults, which is not always possible. But salted dough is an excellent, affordable and practically harmless material. In addition, it has a number of features and is interesting to work with, so modeling from salt dough occupies a special place among popular hobbies.

Let's make salt dough

The tempting and indisputable advantage of this material is its accessibility: you can prepare the dough yourself, the right quantity, and all the few ingredients are available in almost any kitchen - as a last resort, you can run to the nearest grocery store, and you won’t have to spend any significant money.

Salt dough recipe for crafts

200 grams table salt mix with 2 glasses wheat flour and 2 tablespoons of starch, add about ¾ cup of water and a tablespoon sunflower oil. Knead all this well. The right dough for modeling, it does not crumble or stick to your hands, it takes and holds the shape given to it well. During the preparation of the dough, its structure can be adjusted by adding (small portions) water or flour, depending on whether the dough is too thick or runny.

Starch, by the way, is not a necessary component - it is more needed to create three-dimensional relief figures, although many people add it constantly, regardless of what they are going to sculpt.
Once the dough is cooked and forms well, place it in plastic bag and place in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.

Drying finished products

To reliably fix the shape of the resulting salt dough craft, it must be dried. After drying, your product, unlike plasticine, will look like new for many years.

So how to dry a craft? Yes, everything is very simple: you can leave it in the same place where it was molded and dry for some time (no one will say how long - it all depends on factors such as the temperature and humidity of the air in the room, the humidity of the dough itself, etc.) in natural environment. However, we recommend baking finished crafts in the oven - this is, in some way, analogous to firing clay products in an oven, albeit under much more gentle conditions: place the craft in cold oven and set the temperature to about 50°C, leave for half an hour, then increase the temperature to 100°C and dry for another hour and a half. This phasing is necessary so that the dough does not crack, but bakes gradually and reliably.

Finished product painting

The dried and cooled craft should be sand with fine sandpaper, straightening out the natural roughness, then color it in accordance with the creative intent. Acrylic paints (with an acrylic base) with their rich color, quick drying and other advantages. However, the good thing about salted dough is that ordinary inexpensive gouaches or watercolors will also do the job perfectly - indeed, one of the most accessible types of creativity!

Another interesting option– color the dough itself before modeling, if you add a little to it during kneading food coloring(cocoa powder, by the way, also perfectly colors the dough) or acrylic paint: continue kneading, achieving uniform coloring of the entire mass.

The last stage of making a craft is to coat its already painted surface with a glossy or matte (at your discretion) water-based varnish. Now the figurine created by your hands or the hands of your child can take its rightful place as an interior decoration, New Year's decoration, toys, and also serve as an excellent gift. Success in creative work!

DIY dog on New Year 2018

The mistress of the coming year - a yellow dog - can be made in the form of a souvenir or toy yourself. All you need is desire, patience and a little time. Of course, you will also need some materials and available tools. But everyone can choose the option that suits them. The dog can be made from colored paper/cardboard, cotton pads, pompoms, threads, fabric, socks, plasticine, felt, plastic bottles.
Including crafts for the New Year You can make your own dogs from salt dough. These can be either traditional snowmen, Santa Clauses, Christmas trees and the like, or the symbol of the coming year itself. At the same time, you can sculpt a dog of absolutely any breed. To do this, you need to select the desired template (there are a wide variety of them on the Internet), print it or draw it yourself, looking at the computer screen. And you can work on it with salt dough, cutting out the base and, perhaps, some details separately (for example, ears) so that they are more voluminous. And then use your imagination and decorate the resulting souvenir! Now we will make a craft in the form of a dachshund.
Of course, you need something fun to get into the holiday spirit! This dachshund is just that - playful and bright! Such a DIY dog for the New Year 2018 looks cute and original, and it does not require too much effort, a lot of time or expensive and exclusive materials. Therefore, you can make several dachshunds in different variations and give it to your loved ones and friends. And, of course, keep one for yourself - as this year’s patroness!

If you wish, you can make the same dog from plasticine or experiment with clay. But salt dough has many advantages:
you don’t need to buy it - you can make it yourself without any problems;
it will not stain anywhere (it will not leave marks);
easy to clean;
has excellent texture (if prepared according to the rules), it is pleasant to work with, it does not stick to your hands;
You can add color to the dough (color it) in any way, and it can also be used for painting;
it can be dried - either naturally(in the air) or in the oven;
it is ideal for varnishing, which improves appearance and increases the life of the product;
products made from this dough can be used not only as a souvenir, but also as a toy - the appearance will not be affected.
So, first, let's prepare the dough for our craft for the New Year of the Dog. Will be required following ingredients:
A little warm water
¾ cup salt
5 tbsp. refined oil
about 1 cup flour
Place salt in a mixing container and pour it in a small amount warm temperature water. Stir until dissolved. Then add butter and flour. Knead the dough.
It is better not to simply leave the finished dough in the air for a long time, otherwise moisture will begin to evaporate from it, which will negatively affect the properties of the dough during modeling. Therefore, if you do not start the creative process right away, or have made a lot of dough, it is better to put it either in a bag or in a jar with a closing lid.

Do-it-yourself dog, symbol of the New Year 2018 - master class

To make a dachshund we will need the following materials and tools:
salt dough for crafts
rolling pin for cutting dough
small kitchen knife
template paper
pencil or pen
scissors
painting brushes
paints (preferably gouache)
varnish (you can take a universal one)
glue-based rhinestones (or other decor)
So, we find a sketch of a dachshund on the Internet or redraw it from the monitor. Just on plain paper, better denser to make it more convenient to work.
Now we cut off the ears and tail from the template (as well as the hat, if you drew with it). Put the stencil aside for now and get to work on the dough.
Roll it out using a rolling pin into a thick layer 3 to 4 centimeters thick. We lay out a paper template on it and cut it along the contour with a knife, trying to do it as carefully as possible. We put the trimmings in a jar or bag so that they don’t get airy.
We moisten the brush with water and pass it along the contour of the dog. We go over the entire face (not just along the contour), it should be wet. Roll three small balls - two identical, and the third even smaller. We make ovals from equal balls and place them on the top of the muzzle - these are the eyes of the dachshund. We stick the third small ball on the tip of the nose.
In front of the eyes, retreating about 1/5 from the top, we make an incision with a knife (small, not through) - these are the eyelids. We make an incision on the lower part of the muzzle, thus forming a slightly open dachshund mouth.
Roll the dough into a sausage, making one edge narrower. We apply this thin side to the head - to the cut, immediately to the left of the eyes. Press down at the attachment point and smooth over the entire surface (just with your finger). The result should be a fairly wide and long (slightly higher than the paws) ear.
Let's complete the design of the head with a hat. It will somewhat resemble the same headdress worn by Santa Claus. For it, we will first make a triangle from the dough - it should not be flat, but voluminous. Bend the tip of the triangle to one side (to the left). We moisten the bottom of the future hat (the base of the triangle) with water and attach it to the head - immediately above the eyes, going over the ear. Let's make a small indent and make a horizontal cut with a knife, staging the trim (fur) of the hat. Attach a small ball - a pompom - to the curved tip of the hat.
Tear off another small piece of dough, roll it out to about 0.5 cm thick. Cut out the simplest Christmas tree (three tiers will be enough), you can apply a relief design with a knife. We stick it to the very upper part of the back (torso) - this is the tail.
You can make a kind of garland under the Christmas tree to make our dachshund look more festive. To do this, roll several small balls with your palms and place them just below the Christmas tree at approximately equal distances from each other.
In principle, our dog is ready for the New Year with his own hands. Now it needs to be dried. This can be done naturally - leave it in the air, waiting for it to dry, or you can do it in the oven. In the second case, you need to send the figurine to a cold oven. After this, turn it on for a little heat, be sure to open the door slightly so that the dough does not crack. The product can be painted or varnished only after it has completely cooled!
Now you need to select the necessary paints. We suggest using gouache for this purpose. Which colors should I choose? Here is the time to remember that the symbol of the new year 2018 is a yellow dog. Therefore, let's paint it a yellowish ocher color. Darken most of the ear, paws and the edge of the back brown. And in order for the transition to be smooth, brown must be applied immediately after yellow, while it is still wet.
Now we wait for the painted body to dry. We paint the Christmas tree green, the garland at the bottom with multi-colored bright shades, and the hat with red. Draw the pompom, the trim of the hat and the eyes with white paint. We wait for it to dry and take on the black color. Use it to shape the tip of the nose and draw in the eyes.
We wait for it to dry again. And now it’s time to coat our beautiful dachshund with varnish. Glossy will look in this case more festive. When the varnish has dried, you can finish the decor with rhinestones, placing them on the Christmas tree and between the balls of the garland. Any adhesive-based decor is easier to use.
That's all - beautiful and cheerful New Year's dog ready!

In this master class I will show you how to make a dog from salt dough, and not just a dog, but a graceful and elegant Dalmatian, he charms everyone at first sight. This is a very cheerful, active, inquisitive and energetic breed of dog. You can keep such a proud Dalmatian with gifts for yourself, to lift your spirits and give it as a New Year's souvenir.

To work you will need:

  • universal salt dough;
  • rolling pin;
  • stacks;
  • gouache;
  • paint brushes;
  • universal varnish;
  • decorative elements.

First we make a stencil. We draw on paper, and then cut out the dog and the bag that it drags in its teeth. From the cut out figure we cut off the overhead parts - what will not be molded according to the stencil.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of 2.5 - 3 cm and cut out the shape using a stencil. It turns out to be something strangely shaped, but with each next step it will transform into a dog.

We start sculpting by sealing the muzzle. Place a small ball of dough on the protruding part of the muzzle, moisten the top with water and knead the dough with your fingers so that there are no joints. We do not fill the space under the spout.

Make a nose from a small ball of dough. Remember to moisten the dough with water to easily smooth it into the desired shape.

Using a stack, draw the outline of the mouth and add the eye. From a triangular piece we make a hanging wide ear.

To make the hind leg, roll out a large sausage, which will be thinner on one side than the other.

At the bottom of the paw, form a sharp heel, without space for the phalanges. Moisten the upper part of the paw with water and smooth the dough with your fingers so that there are no sharp contours.

In the same way, form the front paw, only without the heel and paw.

Place a small piece of dough on the stomach between the paws and also smooth it with wet fingers.

On the hind paw we form a place for the phalanges. A small piece of dough needs to be stuck to the heel and bent as in the photo.

Now we make 4 thin short sausages, it is possible that they differ insignificantly in length.

We place the made sausages on the paw blank, starting from the far phalanx. We lay the back sausage evenly, and begin to gradually bend all the subsequent ones. The result is a neat foot.

Attach 4 phalanges to the bottom of the front paw, as well as to the back paw.

To make 2 more legs, just stick 2 oval pieces of dough and make small cuts in a stack. There is no need to highlight these paws too much. You can also use a stack to draw a little fur under the head and along the body.

We make a cake no more than 0.3 mm thick. And we bend it into the shape of a bag with one elongated edge.

We “put” the edge of the bag into the Dalmatian’s mouth, bending all the wide sides up. From the same thin piece of dough we cut out the shape of a Christmas tree, which we stick into the bag so that it looks out of it.

Let's make another one thin flatbread and close the bag on top. We wet the edges of the two parts of the bag with water and smooth the joints.

At the top of the bag we make a flap from a thin sausage that needs to be flattened. Additionally, for realism, draw folds on the bag in a stack.

The finished work can be dried in the oven at minimum temperature.

Painting a Dalmatian from salt dough

There shouldn't be any problems with coloring the Dalmatian. We cover the entire surface of the dog with white gouache, bypassing the nose, which will be black. When the white is completely dry, use pale gray to draw the fur and some details. Highlight the eyes, nose and mouth with black.

Paint the bag with a light brown color, and when it dries, make the folds in a darker color. When the bag is dry, decorate the tree and make black spots on the white wool.

Open the finished figurine with varnish, and when it dries, you can glue the decor onto the Christmas tree in the bag.
