Italian dumpling casserole in the oven:

  1. Chop the onion as finely as possible. Pass the garlic through the garlic press. Heat a large deep frying pan with big amount oil and sauté the onion and garlic for a couple of minutes.
  2. During this time, remove the skins from the tomatoes and add their pulp to the frying pan. Also add a glass of the liquid they were in. Cook over low heat until the tomatoes become pureed. Finally add salt, pepper, sugar and herbs.
  3. Two-thirds tomato sauce pour into prepared pan. Place half of the frozen dumplings on top and sprinkle with some of the cheese. Pour the remaining sauce evenly and place the dumplings, throw in the remaining cheese.
  4. Seal the pan with foil and place in the oven preheated to 180 C. After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for another quarter of an hour.
  5. Serve the casserole hot.

Boiled dumpling casserole

Lazy casserole of boiled dumplings:

  1. Boil dumplings in salted water until done. Fry for a couple of minutes with butter in a frying pan.
  2. Mix the cream and prepared dumplings and place on a baking sheet. Chop the garlic very finely and sprinkle evenly over the dumplings.
  3. Preheat the oven to 190 C and cook for a quarter of an hour.
  4. Serve immediately, with vegetables or simply garnish with herbs.

Step-by-step cooking with tomatoes

Components:

  • 150 g dumplings;
  • 2 tomatoes;
  • large head of onion;
  • 50 g hard cheese;
  • salt and hot pepper;
  • 100 ml water;
  • dill, parsley.

Dumpling casserole with tomatoes:

  1. Chop tomatoes, onions, parsley and dill into small cubes. Combine with sour cream, stir well.
  2. Pour water and add pepper and salt. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Place the dumplings in the mold and pour the sauce over them. Preheat the oven to 200 C and cook the dish for about 20 minutes.
  4. Grate the cheese and throw on top, leave in the oven for another 10 minutes.
  5. Serve the casserole hot, immediately after cooking.
