Baking without eggs, contrary to popular belief, turns out tasty and nutritious, and is also suitable for dietary, vegetarian and Lenten menu, especially if the dishes do not include dairy products. Experienced chefs will tell you how to make delicious baked goods without eggs:
  • If you use kefir for baking, you should warm it up a little before adding it to the dough.
  • After kneading, it is recommended to leave the dough for 15 minutes, covered with a cloth towel. This will make the baked goods more fluffy and airy.
  • It is recommended to sift the flour before adding it to the dough. This way you will filter out small unnecessary particles and saturate the flour with oxygen, which will make the dough more tender, and this in turn will have a positive effect on baking.
  • The dough will not stick to your hands when kneading if you first grease your palms with vegetable oil.
  • If you add butter to the dough, knead it until it becomes soft.
  • Do not try to add more baking soda to the dough than is indicated in the recipe. Its excess will cause the baked goods to become dark color and an unpleasant aftertaste, but it won’t become any more fluffy.
  • The dough should be kneaded in a completely clean and dry container that does not have any foreign odors.
  • To check if the baked goods are ready, pierce the baked goods with a wooden stick. If its surface remains dry, then the baked goods are ready.
  • Very sticky dough will roll out easier if covered. parchment paper or use a cold water bottle instead of a rolling pin.
