  • one large fish;
  • a couple of tablespoons of mayonnaise;
  • two drops of table mustard;
  • one egg;
  • a heaped tablespoon of wheat flour;
  • a couple of pinches of salt;
  • spices to taste;
  • sunflower oil for frying.

Step by step recipe

Clean the fish from all excess. Rinse thoroughly in cold water. Trim the fillet from the backbone. Cut two fillets into slices. If you come across bones, remove them. To do this, it is convenient to arm yourself with tweezers.

Whisk the egg in a bowl. Add mustard, salt, spices, mayonnaise. Mix thoroughly. Add flour, mix again.

Dip all the fish pieces into the batter. Stir gently. If desired, you can leave the mixture for 10-15 minutes to marinate.

Pour a few spoons into the pan sunflower oil. Heat until hot. Place fish pieces into it one at a time. Don't touch it for a couple of minutes. You want a crispy crust to form on the bottom side. Turn the fish over. Cover with a lid and reduce the heat slightly. Fry until done.

To prevent the fish from “jumping” when cutting, under cutting board add several layers of paper towel.

Option 5: Mackerel fried in a frying pan with sesame seeds

Use white sesame seeds for this recipe. They contrast well with the soy sauce in color. The dish turns out to be original in taste and appearance.

Ingredients:

  • half a kilo of fish;
  • 0.1 l soy sauce;
  • a couple of pinches of sweet paprika;
  • a pinch of dried basil;
  • a couple of pinches of ground coriander;
  • two tablespoons of wheat flour;
  • spoon with a heap of sesame seeds;
  • sunflower oil.

How to cook

Clean the mackerel. Remove the entrails, head, fins, and tail. Rinse. Wipe it off. Cut into steaks or cut into clean fillets - your choice.

Prepare the marinade. Mix soy sauce with spices according to the list - paprika, basil, coriander. Immerse the fish in the mixture. Stir. Leave for half an hour. Then place on a sieve, all excess moisture should drain.

Combine flour with sesame seeds. Dip pieces of fish in it.

Heat a couple of tablespoons of oil in a frying pan. Place the fish. Fry in the usual way- over moderate heat until golden brown on both sides.

This recipe can be slightly modified to suit your taste. For example, replace soy sauce with two teaspoons of apple or wine vinegar. Flour - potato starch, and sesame seeds - ground into fine crumbs with nuts of your choice.

For decorating fried fish dishes"green" oil is often used. This is not difficult to do. Soft butter stir in herb puree. Freeze in ice making containers. When serving the fish, place a piece of this oil on it.
