In principle, I also like simpler food, and I’m pretty even-keeled when it comes to salads. But from time to time I have to prepare them for various holidays and celebrations, well, where would I be without them!

However, it was this salad that simply fell in love with me. The first time I tried it was performed by my eldest daughter, but instead of beef she had pork, and green pea I replaced it with sweet bell pepper.

To prepare the salad we will need:

  • 200 grams of beef
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 carrot
  • ½ red sweet bell pepper

First I cook the beef. I don’t know about you, but I love beef broth, but I rarely cook it (now I’ll have to do it more often). Today I decided to kill two birds with one stone, and rich broth cook for borscht, and boiled beef later use for my future salad.

I washed it and put it in cold water, let it boil, skimmed off the foam and left it to simmer for 2.5 hours. Half an hour before the broth was ready, I added salt.

Recipe
