  • semolina - a full glass;
  • white sugar - a full glass;
  • fresh, non-acidic apples - 6-8 pcs.;

  • baking powder - dessert spoon.

Preparing the base

Lenten holiday dishes, the recipes of which do not include the use of animal products, can be consumed not only during the Great Orthodox Lent, but also, for example, if you are a vegetarian.

So for self-cooking Lenten dessert, should be kneaded loose dough. To do this, add to the sifted light flour soft margarine and rub it thoroughly with your hands until you get a homogeneous crumb. After this you need to add semolina, white sugar and baking powder. As a result, you should get a dry and loose base.

Apple processing

Lenten recipes for the holiday should be kept in your own cookbook. This is due to the fact that not all housewives have an idea of how to prepare milk and other “forbidden” products.

To make a lean dessert, you should carefully process the apples. They need to be washed well, then peeled and cut into thin slices. This requires removing the entire seed box.

The process of forming a pie

To form a lean dessert, take a deep baking dish and grease it a little cooking oil. Next, you need to pour ¼ of the loose base into the bowl, and then put some of the apples on it. Next, the fruit must be covered with dough again and the filling must be placed in the same way. You should carry out these steps until you run out of all the ingredients. Moreover, the last layer should be margarine crumbs.

Oven baking process

Having formed the Lenten pie, it must be immediately placed in a preheated oven. It is recommended to bake it at a temperature of 210 degrees for half an hour (a little more is possible). During this time, the top part of the dessert will be well browned, and its entire thickness will be completely baked.

We present it to the table correctly

After cooking Lenten in the oven, it should be carefully removed and cooled. If you try to take the dessert out of the mold right away, it may immediately break. Moreover, it is very easy to burn yourself with such a delicacy.

Thus, after cooling Apple pie, it should be carefully removed from the dish and placed on a large cake pan. Next, it needs to be cut into pieces. After placing pieces of dessert on saucers, it needs to be distributed to invited guests along with a cup of black tea.
